Recently, a friend of mine recommended me to try out this restaurant’s beef noodles, and since I was within the area with my family, I decided to drop by and give it a go!
First and foremost, I highly recommend you try their dry signature noodles. Although I may have ordered the soup signature noodles, it wasn’t as good as the dry one ordered by mom. The dry sauce is just so much more savory and flavorful compared to the soup. For the side dishes, I highly recommend you try out the beef tendons and the beef brisket. These two sides are extremely soft, tender and juicy very appealing to my taste buds.
For drinks, I ordered the Kopi Cincau, and I must say that the coffee was pretty sweet and “kaw”. It feels so good to have something to chew on while drinking a refreshing sweet caffeinated drink on a hot sunny day.
Regarding the service staff, they were generally polite although due to the language barrier, do not expect them to check in or strike up a conversation with you unless you initiate it.
Finally, the atmosphere of the restaurant. There is an old, homely vibe to it. Makes sense as this has been around for quite a while so do not expect the interior design to look as if it’s as high class as the shopping malls in the city center. As it is not well air conditioned expect to sweat a little, especially during hot sunny days. On the bright side, no pun intended, they do have ceiling fans that can keep you cool.
All in all, I am very likely to return to this restaurant in the foreseeable future with family and friends, where we enjoy a bowl of delicious beef noodles while sharing each...

Read moreLet's begin with the parking here. It is often challenging to get a spot especially during lunch hours in the weekend so do come prepared. The restaurant is neat looking and the air-conditioned indoor seating was certainly a plus point. I ordered the beef noodles with mixed beef parts so I could sample a little bit of everything and I opted for the dry one. I couldn't resist the stewed beef brisket so I got a small portion as well. The noodles texture was springy and provided a nice chewy experience. The taste was pretty well rounded as none of the ingredients seemed to be overpowering each other. Likewise, I thought the soup was clean and light in taste with just enough flavorful punch and the beefy cuts were commendable. The tripes were bouncy and the beef meat was tender. The beef balls had a decent beefy taste with robust texture. The stewed beef brisket on the other hand turned out to be more flavorful with noticeable hints of herbs and aromatics cutting through. The gravy was rich and concentrated but again, not overwhelming. Some parts were delightfully tender but some were still a little chewy in my opinion. I supposed they can be braised longer to soften up the meat. The thing that stood out for me was their dried chilli flakes. It was fragrant and delivered that nice crispy and salty little nuggets that paired superbly with my dry noodles. The standard chilli sauce was alright and it lent a nice appetising zest to your dish. Overall I'd say that this was a commendable beef noodles especially for those who have a...
