I recently dined at Sukiya in KL East Mall and overall, the experience was quite satisfying. The food was served promptly even during peak hours, and the quality was impressive for a fast-casual Japanese restaurant.
I tried the beef steamboat set, which did not disappoint. The beef was thinly sliced, tender, and easy to chew. The hot broth was well-flavored—not too strong—and suited those who enjoy mild and authentic Japanese flavors. The accompanying vegetables and sides were fresh and neatly presented.
The restaurant environment was clean and well-organized, with comfortable seating arrangements. The staff were polite and efficient, despite the busy crowd.
In terms of pricing, Sukiya offers reasonable value for the quality and portion sizes provided. It’s suitable for a casual lunch or light dinner.
The only minor drawback might be that the flavors are on the mild side, which may not satisfy those who prefer spicy or heavily seasoned dishes. However, for lovers of simple, authentic Japanese cuisine, Sukiya remains an excellent choice.

The only complaint is that the air conditioning was a bit weak & the sound was too loud. Overall...
