I recently dined at Sukiya in KL East Mall and overall, the experience was quite satisfying. The food was served promptly even during peak hours, and the quality was impressive for a fast-casual Japanese restaurant. I tried the beef steamboat set, which did not disappoint. The beef was thinly sliced, tender, and easy to chew. The hot broth was well-flavored—not too strong—and suited those who enjoy mild and authentic Japanese flavors. The accompanying vegetables and sides were fresh and neatly presented. The restaurant environment was clean and well-organized, with comfortable seating arrangements. The staff were polite and efficient, despite the busy crowd. In terms of pricing, Sukiya offers reasonable value for the quality and portion sizes provided. It’s suitable for a casual lunch or light dinner. The only minor drawback might be that the flavors are on the mild side, which may not satisfy those who prefer spicy or heavily seasoned dishes. However, for lovers of simple, authentic Japanese cuisine, Sukiya remains an excellent choice. I will definitely visit again.

About Suki-Ya Suki-Ya Malaysia at Tokyo Street,Pavilion KL The conceptualization of Suki-Ya was born from the combination of specialized shops in Japan serving hot pot, shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. In order to adopt and share the exclusive dining experience, we gathered technology and expertise from Japan and fuse them together. We wanted to share our idea of a modern healthy lifestyle eatery where people can get together to experience healthy, low fat food in a warm atmosphere. At Suki-Ya, we offer 4 choices of popular soup bases to further entice the diner's pallete with the FREE FLOW of freshly sliced meat. Fans of sukiyaki will certainly love our paper thin sliced beef. To complement the rich selection of meat, our healthy vegetable bar is always stocked with fresh greens and premium pasteurised eggs. We have specially made dipping sauce available or you can always create your own favourite sauce. We also have an a-la carte menu with choices ranging from tofu to the ever popular salmon sashimi.

First timer here! Personally I'm not good at eating in places like these where you have to diy, but with the right friends and good combination of condiments and sauces, it's all really delicious! For around RM50, and with the amount of meat they give you and other foods to pick from the buffet, it's quite fulfilling. They even have ice cream but limited to only two flavours. Though, I have to say, I'd prefer it if the soup station at the table to be elevated a bit as it was quite tiring and inconvenient for a short/average-height person like me to dip in the meat when it was so deep into the table and to get the food out from the soup station too gets difficult. But overall, the meat's tender and it's thin slices makes it enjoyable to chew, the ambiance is just alright, the manager's very friendly, and I would say it's quite affordable to eat once in a while for special occasions.

I had a truly heartfelt experience dining here today. There was a staff, I believe her name was Sofea, who wasn't only excellent at her job but showed genuine kindness as a person as well. She was very considerate towards me as I came with two toddlers.

As a habit, whenever I dine out, I always pick up any mess my children make so the staff won't be burdened. But this time was the first time I have seen an F&B worker being so thoughtful & understanding towards families with kids, toddlers & babies.

While I was cleaning up, she gently came at me saying "it's okay miss, ni kerja saya, tak apa saya kemaskan, biasa la budak kan"

I thanked her sincerely many times. Her kindness really touched my heart.

The service at Suki-ya KL East was impressively fast compared to other outlets even during peak hours. I requested beef & lamb, they were served promptly. Keep up the excellent work.

The only complaint is that the air conditioning was a bit weak & the sound was too loud. Overall...
