Second time here... first time was tapau...
Service experience note: Once again this is the kind of place that expect you to know their menu and how they operate...
so perhaps my advise to new customers... go and have a look at their menu and order from there... because even though they have a food display... they don’t really do nasi campus style pick and choose...
I insisted on nasi campur pick and choose and was charged a bomb the first time...
In addition seems like they have quite a following on grabfood.. and both times I was there, they were just busy with packing grabfood orders (note it’s a lot more expensive on Grab cuz of bundling)..
Other early all u want (incl tapau) cuz they ran out of stuff on both occasions!
Food: food is pretty legit... from the photos we ordered nasi Lemak and nasi sayur...
Nasi Lemak - chicken was nice... everything comes together well(albeit slightly dry).. and it’s a very familiar Malaysian dish....
Nasi sayur - legit! This is what I love about indon food... abit of sauce.. curry veg... tofu and Tempe mixed with vermicelli and bean paste... ultimate Unami bomb... topped off with the awesome sambal... 🤤🤤🤤 u can choose to add chicken or some other meat... I chose another serving of the tofu tempe dish...
Overall verdict: nice cozy place tucked in a housing area among car repair shops.. parking can be challenging...
come for the legit food...
But don’t expect too much in terms of ambience and service...
Price point: about...
Read moreThis spot was recommended by a local friend of mine for decent Indonesian cuisine in segambut area. I myself got the nasi lemak with sambal sotong, whilst my mom and brother got the beef rendang and petai prawns instead. All nasi lemaks came with a lot of different variety of side vegetables and sides to pair like meehoon, stir fried green beans and egg shreds and anchovies. Sotong portions decent and sambal was sweet initially but spicy afterwards. 3.85/5
Beef rendang was super fragrant and beef was tender, however the portion size was just a tad bit small IMO. But the flavour is fantastic. 4.2/5
Sambal petai with prawns were also decent and good portion size with this one. Petai seems to be local petai whereby it’s more fragrant and more petai flavour versus imported and cheaper frozen thai petai counterparts. Pairs well with the sambal and the prawns. 4.2/5
Coffee looked good initially but it could be because of me opting for less sweet. It ended up slightly too “kosong” for my liking.
Cucur udang and the taufu bergedel was ok but it was not freshly fried and had been sitting on the shelf for a while already. Not the best IMO. Average at best.
Overall I would still come back again to try their other dishes such as soto noodles and other noodle dishes which seem popular here. Price wise is on the medium high range for malay/Indonesian cuisine IMO. But decent environment and friendly...

One day I decided to come & enjoy the food, as it is always better to eat from the plate. I was taken aback! The food is so good, it's like I'm back in Medan! Very authentic & nostalgic.
Til present, I have brought many of my friends to come and eat here. Egyptian, German, Chinese, Indian, etc. Everybody always says that it is delicious & how the taste is full of passion.
I always come here for 3 things. Lontong Sayur medan, soto medan and nasi sayur and pair it with a bottle of Teh Botol Sosro to complete it. My husband (Egyptian) is a fan of its Nasi Sayur.
Occasion when they have 'specials', I would order their beef rendang, sambal udang petai, etc.
The owner (Ci Yulie I call her). She's a very nice and friendly lady. Always full of joy and energetic.
I would...
