3rd time visit and what's the expectation? Quality dishes. This time it's a set package dining. In no particular order, the Siu Yuk and Charsiu platter is a generous serving, with the glistening charsiu and the yummy siuyuk served with caramelised sauce. Sharkfin soup packs a minor punch with crab meat, not too starchy, just nice. Got to take it hot. Peking duck seems like a popular order in this restaurant, having savoured the dish during CNY. Each skin crust is served with truffle, pâté, slice of zucchini and potato chip as base. The duck meat is then cooked in brown gravy braise with spring onion, bringing up the meaty flavour for a fulfilling dining. The Iberico ribs platter is accompanied with a parade of salad in tartar sauce. Normally diners will wear plastic handgloves when consuming the ribs, some will go with bare fingers and deft ones will showcase their chopsticks handling skills to wrestle the ribs. Well, enjoy it anyway. The steamed Prawns in garlic sauce is a head-turner, nicely lined up on the platter accompanied with 2 rows of abalone. Many a times, the cameras will 'eat' first, to keep a lasting impression in image, as well as satisfying the tummy. Steamed garoupa slice is served in the hot ginger broth with wolf berries. Balance of the fish is cooked with soupy rice/porridge giving a different degustation experience. The dining is not complete without dessert in many culture. Peanut mochi is pleasant to match the tongshui of longan and grass jelly, surprising everyone perhaps in trendy purple presentation. Overall, the Set package is value for money for group dining. All smiles after the dining signifies something good and a next...

We recently visited Hao Xiang Chi at United Point after noticing they had extended their promotion on a few dishes, including the Beijing Duck (RM48.80+) and Jade Chicken with Ginger Scallion Sauce (RM48.80+). Since there were four of us, we decided to try both, along with the Shanghai Crispy Smoked Fish and “Soon Tuck” Style Black Pepper Beancurd.

Overall, the food was well-balanced—not too salty or bland. The Shanghai Crispy Smoked Fish had a crispy texture and a tart-sweet profile, which might feel strong on its own but makes sense for a traditional Shanghai-style dish. It probably would’ve paired better with rice.

The “Soon Tuck” Style Black Pepper Beancurd sounded unique, and the captain mentioned it would be spicy, but it was more about the peppery aroma than actual heat. It reminded us of a typical tofu with minced meat dish, just with a heavier black pepper twist.

The Beijing Duck was served in two parts. The duck skin wrap came with egg skin (Malaysian-style) and standard hoisin sauce—nothing fancy, but familiar and enjoyable. The second dish—stir-fried duck with salt & pepper —was nicely done: moist, lightly seasoned, and tasty enough to enjoy without rice.

We also received a complimentary Osmanthus Dessert for leaving a Google review. It had a pleasant fragrance and wasn’t overly sweet, though nothing particularly memorable. Probably wouldn’t order it separately.

Service was adequate, and their captain Chin Zi Jian (陈梓健) was friendly and helpful in explaining the dishes. All in all, a decent dining experience with a few hits and misses, worth a try especially when the...

The foods overall consider 3 stars, environment consider good, the services, most of the staffs are fine, i hope gave 4 stars but gave 2 stars now because the guy who like manager and collect payment very bad attitude, we had ordered the dessert but we finished all dishes, my daugther went to toilet and come back still havent prepared, when told him, he said that u just ordered? Hello !! just order? Finished all dishes, take away some foods and back from toilet still said just order? Asked for cancel from the bill when going to pay, his face showed like unhappy and told me nonsense. Then we didnt ordered titbis but was in the bill, he said that check the bill properly again! Mean we checked and found incorrect cannot to cancel? then why you asked us to check the bill? Bad services and attitudes. You are the person incharge, we didnt order and you doesnt know there have extra charges but you collect payment from us? Asked we double check and we told you but you showed unhappy face for? How come? If you dislike your service job, you can resign? As a consumer right have a question? Bring own chinese tea [rm12] charges? Is it? Outside [rm4]? Doesnt know correct or not? If correct is ok. Nvm. Wont feel asked him again. We wont come back again. I had checked the review from this restaurant, mostly relate attitude issues. Terrible expriences. Have extra charges when cancel, he unhappy after you found it. Not recommend. I was first time met the person who collect payment and giving this kind of services and...

Food taste is average at best, but mostly not very tasty. The yam gulou meat has some sour taste that shouldn't be there. I'm not sure it's gone bad, but i don't dare finish it. The char siew and siu yuk's temperature isn't right as well, it's at room temp. Food presentation is not appetizing as well. Could've been much better, maybe smaller plates. The waiters are inexperienced. They are very rushed to clean your plate, and they also keep interrupting our meal as they can't get to the plates. Ironically, the serving speed was slow, we waited 20 mins for a lou sang after they acknowledged can 上菜. Moreover, we dun exactly know how to communicate with the waiters, we tried to talk to them in Chinese, then one of them answered in Malay, then we converse in Malay, asking for chilli padi and garlic, we were asked to converse in Chinese,so it's a very confusing interaction. There's one incident, when we asked for a new bowl, there's a long hair under the bowl The atmosphere is quite good though, nice and clean, and the chairs are comfy.
