Highly recommended, the food is superb and the atmosphere is cozy & fun. Good for group chats or short work on a laptop with a dash of shisha (if you’re into that sort of thing). Oh, and the toilet was amazingly clean.
I had the Kabsah Lamb. When it was piping hot with steam coming out, I had a bad feeling that it might’ve been microwaved. But I was dead wrong. The lamb was succulent and delicious, the balance of spices was just right and the rice was tasty. The whole package worked so well.
Usually when you go to a restaurant serving middle-eastern cuisine, you’d expect a traditional but heavy atmosphere (with lots of thick carpets, earthy potteries etc) or a super lax bare minimum food court-ish interior.
This one was a huge surprise. It managed to be bright yet comfortable, with a plug point for almost every table. You can now work, have a shisha and eat briyani at the same time!!

Read moreWe wanted to order the set lunch Shisk Tawook chicken rice that comes with a drink. Initially, one of the waiter told us that the set lunch does not come with drink. However, later on another waiter came and mentioned the set lunch is not available and we have to order the same dish (with higher price) from the menu. So, we just decided to cancel our order and end up ordering less items instead.
Moments later, the waiter came to us and told us that the set lunch is available again. The table next to us order the set lunch without any issues.
The dishes were served to everyone else that came after us. We waited for some time before the dish was served. Food tastes okay but portion was small.
Very disappointing service. The shop refuse to let us order the lunch promo and forced us to order for a more expensive dish. Beware of the pushy attitude as well. Probably will never revisit...

We had mentioned we were ordering those to arrive first. Layer, we even enquired if we could get the hummus before the main but were told to wait and everything would come out together. Not the end of the word. But surely also possible to first serve some dishes while others are being prepare.
We asked for water many times: we asked for extra water, a pitcher of water to refill glasses, cold water, etc. We meant: can everyone who has finished their water please have some more. We even mentioned it to differing waiters. In the end, we were given one glass of water (there were 7 of us) (we shared it between two of ourselves.) Perhaps it was a language issue.
Food was good though. The lamb was tender, salads were nice, hummus and other dishes were...
