The Curiousity Iron River — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Most lousy cafe i've been to! The place is attractive, hidden, greenery, escape from the bustling city..BUT their service suxxx. When we arrived, no one welcome us, i think some ppl even sneak pass the SOP to scan Mysejahtera and body temp, coz the waiters just avoid eye glances and try not to engage to show u to a table. Obviously they are understaffed. We choose our own table and after ordering with a foreigner waiter, my latte arrives. Then , i started hearing the two tables nearby complaining to staffs that their food havent been served, waited 45 minutes for pasta. OMG. After 25 minutes, i stop a staff and ask her kindly to check on my order. She din even give me an answer, she just look at me like she din understand a word then move along. True enough, i waited 40 minutes and my order showed up wrong !! No pasta, just soup...the waiter came and reconfirm our order, he heard wrong..they had to cancel and we had to wait all over again. We just pay and left...and had lunch somewhere else. Will never be back for...

The aesthetics and ambience was the only awesome thing.

Besides that,

Service was bad, we had to keep calling the floor team who kept saying they'll come to us but did not. Everything was slow. We only got to eat 2 hours after we arrived.

They wasted our time, gave us the menu to order. But majority of the dishes was not available. Could have sped up the process by just mentioning to us that there is a limited menu available today. It was, back and forth of us ordering and them saying "don't have this".

The food was not worth the price, ordered lamb it came out looking like it was anorexic. The pizza was okay nothing amazing about it. Pasta was also okay.

Drinks were also limited and again not worth the price.

That being said, I still think aesthetics was really good, felt like I was away from the city. Just hoped that the service and overall experience was better.

Would recommend to not have high hopes or satisfied taste buds.Just go for the view, eat...

First of all, the whole open-air space was amazing but when I walked into the bar area and the dining area (in front of a small room) it was so crowded and there was no waiter to show us the way and we had to find ourselves a place to sit (at the dining area). After that, I went to the bar to take the menu myself as no one noticed us in the dining room. Then, immediately I heard a group of ladies in the private room screamed their lug out for fun. I thought they were being rapped at first. Turn out they were having fun. The yelling, screaming and shouting continues for the whole 1 hour I was there and it got complimented by a group of men yelling in valgur words in Cantonese from the bar right next to where I sat. I was like wow.. this is a new low!

Dont get me started with the food, the pizza malaysia boleh was tasteless and bitter at the end, the pork chop was so hard it hurts my teeth. The only one thing is not too bad was the cocktails.
