My wife and I went out hunting for good Kway Teow Kia, and latched upon this place. Long story short, we sat outside (might have been a mistake - it's literally just next to the main arterial road, so it was quite noisy) and ordered. So just as a guide - "small" is for individuals. "Medium" barely enough for two. "Large" we didn't try. From the pics you can see we had the intestines, stomach, chicken feet, fu chuk, veggie and braised tofu and egg. I tried the braised pork as well. Well, the only dishes we really sort of were ok with were the braised egg and tofu, and the veggie. You know why? Because everything was too sweet. Not sweet in that sugary way, for the most part, but it was sweet in the quantum of certain herbs used for the broth; it was sweet in that aniseed-flavoured kinda way, like someone dumped too much star anise into the pot. We expected something mildly savoury - or less sweet-ish. So we came away with the distinct impression that the Kway Teow Kia you get in Johor Bahru is just superior in every way. Disappointing.

May 2025: Came for lunch and it’s still very good despite many comments that it’s not as good as Johor’s version. Price is even cheaper than Johor and the lunch crowd is the best testament that the food is good. Cost about RM30 per person for the big meal below which I consider reasonable price. Oct23: had lunch here with friends and ordered variety of foods - chicken, duck, pork, tofu, sour vegetables and eggs! Delicious and tasty! Better than all of us expected. Very comfortable place for lunch in Fraser Business Park area - clean and air conditioned shop. Duck meat is tender and tasty, yam rice is good and appetising braised egg + tofu. Price is reasonable at RM10 for a single portion of duck meat.

The big signage was very inviting. Street parking at night was much easier. If you have tried the best johor's version of koay teow kia, you wouldn't enjoy this as much. Its like a milder braising though you still do taste of the herbs. The yam rice was tasty but lack of yam. Preferred some yam cubes in the rice. The braised duck was excellent...better than the chicken. Both soft and tender. Koay teow kia was fine and smooth. Fucuk and tofu needed more braising. Taste not there yet. Place was not crowded past 8pm and service was great. Place was spacious and clean.

Disappointed with their braised chicken drumstick, braised duck leg , braised pig ear. It taste with mild herbs but too bland as not enough salty for us. Would expect to have soft tender meat.

KT Kia : The soup taste the same as braised meat sauce, not enough salty. The KT itself is fine smooth type which is nice. Soup definitely needs improvement.

Top recommendation is their yam rice, this is super good and tasty. Must order this if you visit this shop.

I would say this shop is suitable for those whom seek for mild taste food, price wise is reasonable...
