Had my very first near death experience at this restaurant during my very first dine in experience with them on Sunday early morning after they messed up my order and served me fish instead of beef. Note: I'm severely allergic to seafood. I haven't consumed seafood in years given my condition and I'm very cautious about what I eat or touch as even cleaning fish or prawns can cause my hands to itch & swell up.
Issue num 1: I waited over an hour for my food and when they served it to me over an hour later, it was cold.
Issue num 2: I specifically mentioned I wanted Spaghetti with the Asun Peppered Beef (something I have ordered for takeaway from this same restaurant multiple times before with no issues) The staff who took my order even confirmed with me as to whether I can take spicy as it's really spicy to which I reiterated that it's a repeat order and its what I want.
Issue num 3: They got the order wrong from the start and served me spaghetti with normal plain fried beef and NOT THE ASUN PEPPERED BEEF which I specifically ordered. The fried beef was too hard & chewy & altogether unappetizing, but given that I waited over an hour for the food, I decided to just be quiet and eat it.
Issue num 4: Within my first bite I bit into what tasted a lil like fish, but I thought I was mistaken & chose to ignore the tingling sensation in my throat. Another 1-2 bites later and there it was again the unmistakable taste & smell of fried fish. I spat out my food and immediately had to on my phone flashlight as the whole place is dim & dark (they don't believe in putting on the lights at this place) and to my horror they had served me spaghetti with fried fish & fried beef!! While explaining the situation to the staff, I had already begun itching & scratching and swelling up and my throat and lips from the tingling sensation earlier was now replaced with a burning sensation. I rushed & grabbed ice from the bucket and was rubbing it all over my hands and arms to try and soothe the itchiness and swelling but to no avail and within minutes my tongue and lips had swollen up.
I had to rush and take a grab home (I live 7 mins away) and rushed to take the piriton tablet. In that few mins ride home, my face & skin was red & itching & swelling up. I got home. Found the tablet and took it & thank God I did because I found out later that doing this saved my life. I rushed with another grab to the nearest clinic (10-11) minutes away and the only one open at 9am. The grab driver will attest to the fact that when he picked me up I was swollen & puffed up and couldn't talk - choking/gasping & panting. Thank God for this driver who drove like a mad man to ensure I reached the clinic safely.
I reached the clinic and was rushed to the treatment room to be resuscitated. I was immediately placed on drips and received 5-6 different injections while my BP had dropped to 80/65 & my oxygen levels were dangerously low. I also received 2 rounds of nebulizer as I was unable to breathe on my own. I was kept in the clinic and monitored for almost 5 hours plus.
I was allowed to leave around 2.30pm with a referral letter for immediate admission if I couldn't breathe as my oxygen levels were at borderline level & my BP was still low. Oh and I have to mention that I had to fork out RM494 to treat myself and save my life - something which could have been avoided altogether if your staff had JUST GOTTEN MY ORDER RIGHT.
Solid, I expect you and your wife to compensate me for medical bill. Just an apology won't cut it this time as there's been previous errors with takeaway orders too that I'm willing to let slide as it's minor. But this is my life here. I expect you take responsibility and be accountable for your employee's actions. I'm still waiting for my callback and I will not escalate this. You...
Read moreThe staff were very friendly. However, they did not listen to what I wanted. I said many times that I only eat vegetables. I must have said it three or four times to both the man and the woman. They suggested a dish for me. When it arrived at the table it smelled of fish. I looked closely and it was fish!
I explained again that I eat only vegetables. I could see it was a good quality fish dish and I didn't want to offend anyone, and so I said my husband might eat it. I asked again for a vegetable dish.
What arrived was simply green leafy vegetables in a heavy oil. This was a very simple dish and I felt very disappointed because I expected a dish with more that one kind of vegetable. There was nothing appealing or creative about it.
By this time I had lost my appetite. All I could eat was a tiny bit of fufu dipped in the oily green vegetable dish.
When it was time to pay I was concerned because there were no prices shown on the menu. I politely agreed to pay for the fish dish that I didn't ask for. Sadly my husband didn't want it.
My main point is that I paid a lot of money for something I did not ask for. Then the vegetable dish was disappointing as a main dish, and very expensive too.
I advise diners to be careful about ordering. I got what I did not want and then I paid a lot of money for it. Thankfully, the owner listened to my complaint and returned a small part of what I had paid. Sadly, it was a bad experience that cost a...
