The Iron Fairies KL — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Good evening, my name is Mehzi.

Firstly i want to thank your restaurant for a good service and a good food, plus not to forget the live band was so super nice and i love the design of the place. We're not a regular customer but me and my girlfriend really enjoy the vibes. However, there was something that disappoint me and my girlfriend. This is the first time in my life encounter this situation.

This happened last Saturday on 20 Jan 2024. There was a big fight in the restaurant, there was guys with weapons rushed in to the restaurant. Everyone was so panicked and there is no one were coming to protect us and even all of the customers, neither bodyguards or bounzer there. There was a total chaos for everyone inside the restaurant.

The main thing that really disappoint me and makes me really upset is the bodyguards were just sitting and playing mobile games when everyone needs for help. This is not the first time i see him just sitting and playing games. Even we're not regular, but me and my girlfriend sometimes come here to hang out together and we always see him just playing the phone.

I believe that your company did a great job on filtering people to hire people for job positions like this. But this is not acceptable at all. This man should've been kicked out from the organization because he just letting everyone life in danger without trying to protect not a single person at the moment. I hope the company would do something about this. Dont waste your company money to invest on this type of person. This really made me pissed off. Im sorry for repeating this again but im really hate his attitude and no action for just do nothing when we need for help.

However, i would like to give a compliment for one guy that stand for all of the customers. If i have a chance to come again, i would reallly thank him for trying to protect us in that kind of situation.

Additional information for you, im not clearly remember the name of that guy, its something like BIYU or BEYU? i get this name from one of your waiter, please have a look on this and i hope that the company can take...

Food and Drinks was okay for the price. Atmosphere was great and cozy.

However, the service is horrible. The staff who greeted us on the first floor was hospitable and friendly. But the upper floor staff was rude and unhelpful. He didnt even look like he wanted to be there.

From the start, when we just inquired if we could pick seats since the place was rather empty as we went during the off peak period (there was only less than 10 people on the third and plenty of empty seats and tables), our upper level male server did not respond in a polite way, but just straight up told us off that either we have reservation or spend over 500myr.

So we sat outside for a table (since it free), then came the serving part. He was very dismissive and unwelcoming when taking our orders. When he noticed one of us taking out a digital camera, he immediately gave a stern warning that pictures taken with a digital camera will be fined 200 or 300 myr. I feel like he could have just told us nicely that no digital cameras in a polite way, we would have immediately kept it like most people would. Seriously like you are in the service industry and we are paying for 8% service charge and this is the service that you are providing???

When its time for the bill, the same male server just walked away after handing us the item breakdown. He could have at least said a word that he was going to collect the payment machine downstairs and bring it up, instead of just walking off without saying anything?! I mean what kind of sevice industry personel does that, speaking as someone who had multiple experiences from working in the service industry too.

When we exited, the same staff who greeted us on the first floor and bidded us goodbye. Great service from him, too bad didn't get his name.

This is a large bar with a cool, steampunk-type vibe. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating fills two floors of space wrapped in wonderfully detailed iron work from the ceiling, walls, and railings down to the tables contrasting with the whimsical colors in jars and bottles of 'fairy dust' adorning the walls and hanging in groups from the ceiling.The second floor is accessed via spiral staircases; I know some people are not fans of these, but I think they are great and full of character. When there is a band, it plays on a creatively placed stage in the middle of the restaurant, elevated halfway between the first and second floors.This is the most beautiful bar in Kl. I visited on occasion of New Year Eve 2020.When we was inside our feeling is we are in another world. It's really amazing and staff is very helpful & attentive. There is 1 millions fairie dust bottle. There they have another hidden room known as Butterfly Room (50,000 butterflies). Live band, dj, in weekend was great moments with my friends. Really i have never seen before like this place. Iron Fairies has decent beer (the usual options in KL) and wine specials. I have tried their cocktails they look good,there are few signature cocktails like TRAPPING TINKERBELL, THE GREEN FAIRY,THE BLUE FAIRY. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Girls night out is a blast when you have 2 choices for free drinks all night on Wednesdays and get the chance to dance and chill with your friends, husbands and partners are always happy to come out for a few hours even mid week. I tried their finger food one of the best i would say is CHICKEN POPCORN it was yum, tasty and finger licking good with spicy sauce with it.
