I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Vocation, a charming new bakery and coffee shop that has been creating quite a buzz in town. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the cozy and inviting atmosphere that welcomed me.
The Vocation boasts a delightful blend of scents, with the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the intoxicating scent of freshly baked pastries. The moment you enter, you're greeted by friendly staff members who are more than happy to guide you through the menu and offer their recommendations.
Now, let's talk about the food. The bakery section of The Vocation offers an impressive array of pastries and nasi lemak, each one a testament to the skill and artistry of their bakers. The croissants are beautifully flaky and buttery, the macarons are delicate and burst with flavor, and the cakes are exquisitely decorated and moist. You can tell that the ingredients used are of high quality, and the attention to detail in the presentation is commendable.
As for the coffee, it is evident that The Vocation takes great pride in their brews. Whether you prefer a classic espresso or a specialty latte, the baristas here know their craft. The coffee is consistently smooth, rich, and expertly brewed. It's the perfect accompaniment to the pastries, and they even offer alternative milk options for those with dietary preferences.
The seating arrangements at The Vocation are comfortable and well-designed, providing ample space for both individuals and groups. It's a great spot to catch up with friends or relax with a book while enjoying your treats. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that adds to the overall charm.
While the overall experience at The Vocation was fantastic, there were a couple of areas that could be improved. Firstly, the wait times during peak hours can be a bit long, which may be a minor inconvenience for those in a hurry. Additionally, I would love to see an expanded savory menu to balance out the sweetness of the bakery offerings.
Overall, The Vocation is a delightful addition to the local dining scene. With its cozy ambiance, delectable pastries, and expertly brewed coffee, it's a place where you can unwind and indulge in a little slice of heaven. I highly recommend paying a visit and experiencing the culinary delights...

The owner leads the creation of all the baked goods and they are sublime. Hadi and Axis are an absolute dream team, keeping everything perfect out front. After two visits, they feel like friends, and the place feels like "Cheers" (a show about a "3rd space" or home away from home).
I hate to give away my secret space in Bangsar, but I have to give them the credit they deserve....
Read moreI tried their Pepper Chick and the chicken was flavorful, well-cooked, and something I’d happily order again. In fact, I’d love it if they offered just the chicken on its own as a menu option, because it really stood out. However, the rice that came with it did’t quite hit the mark for me. I’m not exactly sure how to describe it, but the taste just didn’t complement the chicken well. It wasn’t bad, but it’s not something I’d look forward to having again. I also had the iced chocolate, and I was pleasantly surprised because it was better than expected, definitely a notch above average. Smooth and just sweet enough. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the Nutella Morning Bun, but based on how everything else tasted, I have a feeling it would’ve been good too. Overall, the Pepper Chick is...
