New (as of 2023) Holiday Inn located near Brickfields in the heart of greater Kuala Lumpur. Cash, credit card & perhaps e-wallet payments accepted. Good service. On-site breakfast buffet and dining. No Executive Lounge or bar.
Typical of Holiday Inns at least in Asia, this hotel boasts upper-mid-range hotel comfort and amenities. Everything you need to be comfortable is there for you, and the use of space in each room is efficient. Not luxurious but clean, reliable, and definitely nice enough to warrant the slightly higher price tag than other more local options. Rewards members are entitled to the typical benefits based on availability. If you're upgraded to a suite they are very comfortable with more space (though not as large as King suites at some other IHG/Holiday Inn locations).
In-room safe, blackout curtains, comfortable bed with soft and firm pillow options. AC works very well. Television only has about 15 channels, and doesn't include a premium (HBO) English-language movie channel, surprisingly. Lifetime and Hitz channels substitute. Some English-language television stations plus world news like BBC.
Coffee & tea service provided in the room. I laud their sustainability efforts in not providing plastic bottles of drinking water in the room. Instead, they've opted for water purifiers in each room. It's not really 'on-demand' as they advertise - you have to fill the reservoir in what looks like a coffee pod machine and then you have the option to dispense either filtered, room temperature water or filtered boiled water for tea/coffee. No cold water option. Nice desk area for work but you have to unplug either the water purifier or a lamp to have an available outlet for plugging in devices. Wi-fi is good, reliable, and adequate for Zoom conferences, etc.
Bathroom has all necessary amenities. Separate shower & toilet room, both dry. Iron & ironing board along with hair dryer provided in at least some rooms. Remember to use filtered water for brushing your teeth! Suites have very spacious bathrooms with both shower and tubs.
Hotel is quiet and elevators (3) are fairly quick. Several restaurants located nearby and a separate coffee shop on the ground floor of the building along with a Starbucks (though I never see any employees there!) and mini-cafe on the reception level (one level up from ground floor, reachable by escalator or lift).
Breakfast is heavily Malaysian and Chinese style. There is an egg station but they are still learning some of the finer techniques (over easy is more hard than easy!). Overall, they appear to be deathly afraid of any possible opportunities to burn yourself. There's plenty of bread but no way to toast it. Hot water for tea/coffee states it's 70 degrees Celsius but is definitely not that hot. It'll make tea, but you're in no danger of burning your mouth. I was impressed they offered shakshuka as a breakfast option, but it was ice cold and the eggs were not fully cooked. Some cereal options but the milk dispensers didn't seem to work very well. Fresh fruit, veggies, noodles, and lots of other stuff. Not sure if it's Halal rated or not but there were no pork options.
Definitely will stay here again due to convenient location. Closest MRT station is about a 10-minute walk away and across several...

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Bangsar was a pleasant surprise that exceeded my expectations. Situated in the vibrant district of Bangsar, this hotel strikes a perfect balance between comfort and convenience. The contemporary design throughout the property creates an atmosphere of understated luxury without feeling pretentious. Since the hotel had just opened a few months back, everything looked, felt, and smelled spanking new! Given the rate we paid, Holiday Inn Bangsar offers excellent value for money in a prime Kuala Lumpur location.
LOCATION: The location is truly one of Holiday Inn Bangsar's strongest assets. Being directly connected to the Bangsar LRT station means you can reach both KLCC and KL Sentral within minutes. Bangsar Village shopping mall is just a short walk away, offering numerous dining options and boutique shops. The trendy Telawi area, with its cafes and restaurants, is also within easy reach.
DINE + DRINK: A very good breakfast spread - with a good range of local, regional, and international cuisine that is worth waking up for!
ROOM: We stayed in Room 1322, which was a SUITE, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough with a nice living room and a plush bed room; VIEW: Sweet view of the Cityscape; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES:
FACILITIES: The rooftop infinity pool was a definite highlight, offering panoramic views of the KL skyline - particularly stunning at sunset. The fitness center, while not expansive, contained a good range of modern equipment sufficient for a good workout
SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of.
HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Big Smart TV in both the Living room and the bedroom, dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in...
Read moreEnjoyed our almost 1 month stay because the rooms are very quiet (no noise from outside which was very important for us). However sometimes some guests let their kids to run in corridor and shouting loudly and you could hear it very loudly.
Had also some inconvenience during our stay but luckily the stuff managed to find the solution quickly.
in our room aircon did strange loud noises, had to ask the mechanic to fix it twice
lack of gluten free options for those who has celiac in the breakfast.
at gym once there was no aircon and the gym was about 30-32 degrees. Mechanic came to fix it 20-25 minutes later after I had informed them. Meanwhile did my training in very hot room just like sauna.
had to change our rooms twice firstly because there was some little construction in nearby room and the noise was too loud. Secondly they put us in another room but it was connected room. They told us that nobody is coming there because in connected rooms you can hear EVERYTHING what other guest are doing. Unfortunately two days later we heard that they have put some other guests to the connected room and you could hear them even when they were using the toilet. We asked to change the rooms immediately because strangers are not meant to be living in connected hotel rooms because there is lack of privacy. Had to move again!
sometimes when coming at breakfast 10am there is no food left to eat. Especially on the “make yourself fresh juice” station . Sometimes no cheese as well, only leftovers.
Despite the inconveniences we enjoyed our stay because overall the hotel was very quiet and sleep very good. Staff tried their best to fix the inconveniences. Rooms are clean and beautiful. Air conditioning works very well after fixing....
