I had my reunion dinner here with my family, and it was our first time dining at this restaurant. We had booked our dinner session at 5.30PM and arrived on time. However, despite being punctual, our first course was only served around an hour later, at approximately 6:30PM. It was a soup dish, but instead of being steaming hot, it was just warm and a lot of shells inside. We checked with the staff about when the next dish would be served, but they didn’t provide a clear answer—just an acknowledgment, didn’t say much.. We weren’t sure if it was because we asked or if they simply wanted to clear our table, the next dinner session was at 7.30PM or so. After around 30minutes wait, the remaining dishes were finally served around 7:08PM, and too bad, everything was just warmmmmm… I understand that it was the Chinese New Year and the restaurant was busy, but I think all the meals were pre-prepared, all what was needed was just proper reheating. We had made reservation you should have known how to manage the food serving. Serving lukewarm food is unacceptable. It was a very bad experience. Also the staff needs better training, and if the restaurant cannot handle such a high volume of customers, it shouldn’t accept so many reservations. The food itself tasted okay, but it would have been much better if served hot. Sadly, this was a bad experience and I have no intention...
Read moreWe have an extremely unpleasant dining experience in this restaurant. Long waiting time for seat - We walked in and enquired the staff roughly how long should we wait and was told that around 30 minutes. We leave our number and was told that they will call us once the seat are ready. We went back in 45 minutes without calling and found out that our seat has been taken by others.
Long waiting for food to be served - we have waited one and half hour for our food to be fully served despite we have gotten their staff to check with the kitchen, but no updates from the staff. We even noticed that other 3 tables that came later than us already having their food happily but we are only having one dishes until we complaint the third time indicating that we want to leave. We are having our rice cold while the rest of our dishes are served.
Bad service No apologize or anything even we have made several complaints and one of the staff (should be the supervisor /head) only giving us blank promise saying that will give us discount upon our next visit.
In summary, if you don't mind the gap between your first dish and last dish is 30-40 minutes, eating with your rice being cold and long waiting and need to keep checking on your dish, you can...
Read moreThe restaurant is located at the far end of Aurora Place, facing the side of Bai Wei Mini Bowl restaurant. The place is brightly lit and has a few tables in it which is comfortably spaced apart.
The ordering is manual ordering via the wait staff. The service is fast and the place clean.
The bittergourd chicken rice is quite good. The bittergourd is sliced thinly, hence the bitterness won’t be felt much. The chicken is well marinated and soft and juicy.
However, for the Stir Fried Spring Onion Ginger Beef Kuey Teow, the beef while sliced thin has many tendons and hence difficult to chew.
The Curry Siakap is good. The curry is flavorful and the fish fresh.
The Salted Egg Green Big is also good. Fried with a thin layer of salted egg batter, the flavour is strong. Portion for a big plate is quite big indeed.
The Fried Pork Belly with Soy Sauce is done well too. Slices are juicy and well mixed with sauce.
Overall, fairly price and good...
