Β Β Β Read moreA new cafe in town (not so new but it is to me) in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. Finally got the time to try it out. Itβs located near the watersport activity centre and the sport courts. Parking wise, if youβre in luck, thereβll be one next to the cafe. If not, youβll just have to park further (next to the stadium).
The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seatings but i find the outdoor ones to be more spacious and have a better view. You can simply book beforehand to reserve your preferred spot. The table i sat at was quite nice but outdoor seaters does not have complete privacy from onlookers. The staffs for me were nice and professional (not hard to get assistance from).
Now letβs talk bout the food. I had some doubts at first bout the price as compared to the food and turns out i was right bout it. Their whole menu was quite overpriced. Here is what we got :
Fish and Chips : Portion was way off. It looks like a got 2 pcs of pisang goreng instead of battered fish (refer picture). Quite disappointed honestly but taste wise it was delicious.
Beef Aglio Olio : It was decent but the flavors didnt really shine (needed more chilli flakes and mixed herb)
Crispy Chicken Chop : Just like your typical chicken chop. It tasted good and it has a great crunch to it but overall still overpriced.
Seafood Marinara : Quite the selection of seafood and the sauce was pretty delicious (bit spicy tho).
As an overall, i do expect more from the dishes served. I feel like theyβre missing something which they can call their signature dish or perhaps a culinary twist to a classic dish. Then that would maybe justify the prices in their menu. I would recommend this for those who wants to sit back and relax to an amazing view but i donβt think its a spot you get to repeat often without burning a hole in...

However i would like to raise a very unpleasant experience. When we enter the shops there were plenty of empty tables. And we were greeted by your waiter. Sat on a 4 seater table. It was me, my mother and a 4yr old. The waiter straight away serve us menu. And i asked for baby chair. We were there for quite a while due to bad weather, raining heavily. So we stayed, while waiting for the heavy rain to stop we continue enjoying our food and are the atmosphere which we find very nice.
But when the next table we occupied by two customers i noticed the customer seated next to my table gave us a very rude stare. Multiple times! Then we heard she said "i dah booked tau table ni!" While making unpleasant faces towards us. And this was heard multiple times to the point i felt very offended. To the point i asked the waiter, was this table reserved? And to the waiter answered "yes".
We didnt see the reserved label on our table. Cus if we had, we would have ask before we sat. We as customer might have overlooked as i was handful managing my 4 yr old nephew.
If the table was reserve in the first place, u could have nicely inform and politely offer us a different table instead.
We were unlucky as the customer that sat next to our table were very imbecile to the point it made me and my mom felt very offended by her facial expressions. This is such a unpleasing situation. We paid for the service and food. My and mom too were your customer. But the facial expression by that lady made us felt belittled as if we dont deserve...
