The famous stall 10 was closed so we decided to give 7&8 a try. You have to first navigate the hustlers from the other stalls that accost you immediately once you get out of your car, but ignore them and come here. A lesson I learned long ago in SE Asia is go where the crowd is and the 7&8 stalls had by far the most people and they were all locals for the most part so we went with that. Stalls 2 & 3 were very aggressive which was a turn off for us. Too pushy!
We had Salt and Pepper crab, garlic and butter prawns, and two whole fish (one local seasonal and one snapper) cooked four different ways (salt and pepper steam, Portuguese baked, Teh Chiew steam and pan fried). We also got Otak Otak, and three types of greens. We tried to order the LaLa clams but they were out so we tried the razor clams but they weren’t fresh upon tasting so the owner graciously took it back and off the bill.
Everything was very good, the Portuguese baked and Teh Chiew steamed were the favorites along with the prawn and crab. I highly...
Read moreMy family and I had the most terrible dinner experienced at stall 7, this is the third time we took our dinner at this stall, we had our booking earlier and we came 10 minutes earlier to place order dishes, we waited for more than ONE hour and I’m trying to remind the server because my family came with big gang with senior citizen and pregnant lady, the worst part is that the server answer me with a very rude way by telling me we did not call for booking so we have to wait for awhile more, I approached to the boss and he ignore me and did not want to help us to settle our problem, at last we waited for 1 hour 15 minutes to have our dinner. Definitely I’ll not coming back to this stall ANYMORE due to their extremely bad service and put our booking at the last. Please retrain your staffs again for the customer service and take serious concern about this issue of the customer have to wait for almost 2 hour for a simple dinner, this is totally ridiculous! If it could give negative reviews I would not give one start...
Read moreThis seafood restaurant is just mediocre. We ordered a Portuguese grilled stingray and a cheesy beehoon with prawns. The stingray taste was just ok, honestly any random grill food stall from a foodcourt also does better than this. The cheesy beehoon with prawn however is a total ripoff, charging RM38 for some beehoon and just one prawn, sliced in half some more. When we feedback to the waitress about the pity amount of prawn she just replied it’s like that la…totally not worth to pay RM38 for just beehoon+one prawn+cheesy soup, and it didn’t even taste anything near to cheese, just soup with some milk in it. This was the first time we came here and will be the last. This whole place has seen better days back in the days and now this place is just sad. The sea view was blocked by all the stalls in front so there was no view at all. Better to have your dinner elsewhere, considering the price and the quality of the food is really a joke. Definitely NOT...
