We were in Melaka for vacation and one of the places we visited was the Portuguese Settlement. We noticed this new hotel and enquired.||The front desk staff were very helpful and put us in touch with sales exec Lyvia who was also very helpful and showed us around the various units available.||They currently have a promotion until the end of 2025 where the rooms are going for RM350 nett, but with terms and conditions.||We decided to extend our stay in Melaka for an extra day at The Lisbon.||We found the place extremely clean, quite quiet (since it was a weekday), rooms were great. The wife was pleased to note that the flooring was timber laminate instead of carpeted as she is extremely sensitive to dust.||The beds were very comfy, and the room was furnished with the usual like a big flat-screen Smart TV, Aircon, dressing table, table with seats, closets with dressing gowns, hair dryer & slippers, tea & coffee making facilities.||For the bathroom, they provided some XXL size bath towels. Containers of body wah & shampoo in the bathroom. Our room also had a bathtub and standup rainforest shower. ||All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Some names we did remember were Gabriel and Zane. ||And for breakfast, En. Fizzy, the F&B Manager, and his staff very very attentive as well. We felt like VIPs.||Incidentally, The Lisbon Melaka reflected the iconic art style prevalent in Lisbon with their ever present blue tiles being used prominently in the rooms and bathroom as well as many other locations...

Read moreI was randomly browsing hotels in Melaka for an impromptu short getaway when I came across this place. I decided to call to check on the GLC rate on behalf of my sister, and Amir attended my call. He was super helpful and immediately shared the promo rates available. I agreed right away and asked him to book for the next day — it was already around 11pm then!
To my surprise, I woke up the next morning to a booking confirmation from Amir. So diligent and efficient — thank you, Amir!
When we arrived, the welcome we received was so warm from everyone at the reception and service area. Big thanks to Mr. Zain, the Operations Manager, for the complimentary room upgrade! My dad was really happy, especially since we were celebrating his early birthday. Mr. Zain even checked on us personally during breakfast — such a nice touch!
All the staff, though some looked new, were friendly and always smiling. Truly appreciated the hospitality. I’ll definitely come back!
Just a small note: the wheelchair access ramp could be improved a little, and maybe add a bit more variety for breakfast. But overall, everything else...
