Bar.B.Q Plaza @ Aeon Bandaraya Melaka — Restaurant in Malacca

On 9th June 2025, we visited Bar.B.Q Plaza at Aeon Bandaraya Melaka and tried their set lunch options. We ordered the chicken set lunch and pork set lunch, both priced at RM19.90 each.

One positive aspect is that the hotplate can be replaced upon request when it gets too burned or dark, without any additional charges. However, we noticed that the grilling process caused smoke to linger, affecting our attire and face, as the restaurant lacked proper smoke extraction.

The portion sizes of the set meals were sufficient, but self-cooking does require some skill and technique. Unfortunately, we ended up overcooking the meat due to our inexperience.

The total bill came to RM46.15, which included a 10% service charge and 6% service tax.

Once in a blue moon visit here on a Monday because it's always fully seated. We ordered the number 103 set which had mostly meat, and a small portion of vege and noodles. Top that with 2 drinks and 2 garlic rice, total bill is about below RM 90.

Ingredients were freshly prepared and the attendants here are attentive and they adhere to strict SOP. Cooking is DIY style, so you'll be busy all the time grilling meat and stuff and oiling the pan, and only you have food to eat.
