Firstly Congratulations! Verrona Hills @Aeon Bandaraya Melaka for your Grand Opening. Your wide range of Bakery & Pastisserie items are commendable. However, I would appreciate if the Management could and will have consideration for Senior Citizens by setting up a Priority Space/Queue Line for quick, effortless Customer Sevice .. Let me relate my bad experience with TWO RUDE FEMALE & MALE INDIVIDUALS that I encountered on 14 July at the long queue when I wanted to make payment for just one loaf of sourdough bread!...I am a 73 yr old Lady Senior Citizen.I had to queue behind this rude Female Individual who had NO ITEMS purchased in hand But had the cheek to stand in the queue. Why is this Female Individual reserving/booking the space while waiting for her other friend/s to make a selection of items? I reiterated again and told her that since she has nothing in hand, I will move ahead of her queue. Then, infront of me was a MALE Individual mentioned that I was wrong to cut the queus. HE gave a Rude answer that across the hall there were also many people queuing too! without having a thought that people queuing at entrance of the Restaurant were for seats! and not making payment for purchases..! I reiterated again... Female Individual has not purchases, so why is she booking her queue?? When her friend/s came to the queue, Female Individual started to make sarcastic ridiculous remarks and ridiculed me with other customers that came by to stand at the queue..These TWO FEMALE & MALE INDIVIDUALS should be taught Manners and Behaviour Lessons at home by their parents on how to TREAT SENIOR CITIZENS with RESPECT so that in turn therir Parents who are also Seniors will be treated well in Public.
Thank you for reading my ordeal and hope my review will be read by many Senior Citizens so that they will be aware of such Rude Individuals.
Thank you M...
Read moreOverrated … hopped by on the 6th day after the grand opening, didn’t know Malaccans loves to queue too 🤭 Can find the usuals French-inspired bread, cakes and pastries here … Just my 2 cents : Taste wise, not exactly as top notch as advertised - average, some pastries are indeed better than most bakeries around the area.
But … The Musang King Swiss Roll is all hype, no bite. Overrated, overpriced, and over-glorified. Expected a durian knockout, got a barely-there sigh…. Durian taste was so mild to the point of missing 😏
Display of the baked goods is enticing & appealing however the placement at some corner wasn’t as strategic as customers tend to bump into each other due to confined area. Q system for payments needs improvement - snaking Q formed particularly because of the terrible Q management … one staff packing the food items and customers proceed to cashier for payment thereafter .. might as well just allow all the cashiers to attend to the customers for packing and payment since there are already 2 staffs manning the cashier. The cashier who attended to me was kinda slow and not alert, missing out 2 items during my payment 😏 and her face was soooooo black like she was being force to work there 🙄. Such a turnoffs to be greeted by that kinda expression early in the morning.
Price : affordable Overall experience: neutral ~ I reckon it’s gonna be a short...
Read moreI bought two chocolate croissants here and a raisin walnut sourdough. I initially visited this store to get a chocolate croissant as their chocolate croissants looked authentic from the pictures and from the outside. However, as I took a bite of it, I felt the taste of the low quality chocolate and it ruined my experience. I was expecting the taste of a standard pain au chocolat, with a flaky croissant and semi sweet chocolate. I started to wonder where they got this chocolate from. It tasted bad. It tasted like emulsifiers, lacked the flavor of cacao, and the whole thing just tasted off. With each bite I got this unsatisfying taste of an emulsifier filled quasi-chocolate, plus a standard croissant. I continued eating the croissant as I was hungry, but after I finished it I felt weird and unsatisfied.
I would return the second chocolate croissant but they do not allow returns. I hope the bakery uses real chocolate in their bread. Chocolate isn’t supposed to taste like this.
The sourdough bread was too sweet. I like my sourdough to taste like sourdough, with a fermented, tangy flavor. The sourdough bread that I got here was sweet and lacking in...
