This place has a great chilled out atmosphere, the staff genuinely seem to care for the cats, and the cats are healthy and trusting.
There is a blind cat, and a black-and-white one missing a hind leg. The latter is quite a character. There is also an orange male who kept pacing up and down because he was scheming to get out of the enclosure. He succeeded once but got caught by a staff member who carried him around and let him view the other parts of the cafe before putting him back.
The cats are generally curious and will swarm you even if you don't have food. If you have food they will be even more enthusiastic around you.
(Human) food and drinks here are good too. I talked to the owner and she knows all the cats, and they all like her a lot when she steps into the enclosure. Do support this cat cafe as they are not running it to make heaps of profit, but to keep a cat sanctuary open.
The only downside is that there is no sign at the ground floor to tell you there is a cat cafe above. It'd be great if there's a sticker or sign at the ground floor. But this is just a slight quibble.
For RM 25, you can stay at this place and hang out with the cats all day.
I think a good attitude to carry into the place is that you're there to interact with the cats on their terms, and not solely on yours. If you want to enjoy your time with the cats, respect them and make an effort to treat them right. Like a reviewer commented, they're adult cats and not playful kittens, so adjust your expectations.
Do check this place out if you're in Melaka. Great vibes and definitely...
Read moreMy family and I visit many cat cafes.
This place is one of the SMELLIEST ones we've been to. The stench hits you once you open the door. The floor feels sticky too.
The cats are confined within a smaller glass room which is quite small. There are minimal seats for humans. The drinks are outside the cat zone, and you need to press a button to be let out by a staff from the cat zone. It feels very restrictive and uncomfortable because you can't sit comfortably and have your drinks and enjoy the cats at the same time (which most other cafes allow).
Lighting is dismal. Physical environment is hard and cold and uninviting. Warm lighting instead of white fluorescent tubes would help. Soft fabric sofas / seats / carpets would help too. Yes, it's practical and feasible - many cat cafes have them.
To be fair though, staff were quite friendly and helpful. I don't see it as a people problem, I suspect it's just the design of the space. Also, the cats do look well cared for with ample food and water, not the starved kind from some places.
We came because of the initially (unrealistically) good reviews, but left disappointed. Hopefully an honest...
Read moreI went to this cat cafe and it's clean and spacious. There were many sections of the cafe from the entrance to the seating area and then the glass room where you can play with the cats there. The cats are perfectly healthy. I had a small conversation with the owner where she told me most of the cats were rescued strays and they were treated well. All of them are very friendly, fit and active with beautiful fur. They also provide cleaning tools for customers after playing within the cat area, roller sticker for furs that stuck onto our clothes and hand sanitisers too. They also provide free drinks if you paid for the package to hangout with the cats or you can just simply sit down at the sitting area if you feel like watching them from outside of the glass room. Oh and you also are require to take off your footwear before entering the cafe. So far definitely will be visiting this place again and I swear I already miss them cute munchies🥺 Cannot wait to come and...
