This restaurant is like 3mins away from Grand Lexis. How would i describe it? A must try!!! Their portion is generous. I ordered everything in small portion (for 2 persons) and I ended up with take away the balance. Their small portion of fried rice can actually eaten by 2 people. Ice cream is free flow. It ia just a simple ice cream, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and yam but I love it because its easy to scoop out (unlike some places it is hard to scoop the free flow ice cream). They also distribute a free lollipop for kids at the table and i heard that uncle said "makan nasik ya adik nanti boleh makan gula-gula". I asked for 3 lollipops (although the kids not with me) and got it!!! Thank you uncle hehehehe. Taste wise : not everyone might have the same tastebud but the packed restaurant tells it all. You bettet come early or make a reservation. There is also surau and kudos to the owner cos they set up a surau at the front!!! Unlike some places, surau always at the back or upstairs. This is what we called respect. Price : I ordered kerapu sweet sour, dried curry bamboo clam, butter prawn, kailan ikan masin, nasi goreng kampung, nasi goreng seafood (medium size, take away) nasi putih and 2 drinks, all are rm191. So yeah, i am not complaining. Though it was said the waiting time is a bit longer, it is understandable. I was served more or less 30 mins after placing my order. The hospitality from the restaurant is great. From Ah Nie, that lollipop uncle and all the waitress will greet you with a smile. Thank you. They have another branch at Teluk Kemang (as told by Ah Nie). Overall, it is a pleasant experience. Keep up the...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to experience iftar at this restaurant on 16th March 2025. This was my first visit, and I went with a group of five. We traveled from Lexis Hibiscus Hotel to the restaurant, which took approximately 30 minutes.
The restaurant’s decor reflects a Chinese-Muslim ambiance. Below is my review:
Food: I ordered the Ramadan set for 3–4 pax, priced at RM200. The food was excellent! The steamed fish was incredibly fresh and delicious. I also ordered kailan, and every dish was well-prepared and flavorful. Having dined at a well-known seafood restaurant in Senibong, JB, I initially thought nothing could surpass that experience—but I was pleasantly surprised. This restaurant exceeded my expectations, and I will definitely return.
Service: The staff were friendly and attentive. Despite it being time for iftar, they continued to serve customers efficiently. I also noticed a non-Muslim customer from Singapore arriving during the azan. The staff courteously informed them that there might be a slight delay as they prioritized serving Muslim customers breaking their fast. Their professionalism and dedication were commendable. I would particularly like to highlight the excellent service provided by the staff member who served our table, as well as the Chinese-looking female staff member who served our drinks, despite a minor order mix-up.
Price: The pricing is reasonable—not too cheap nor too expensive—but definitely worth the value.
Conclusion: I will certainly revisit this restaurant. It was a great experience, and my parents also loved it. It was worth both the price and the memories captured...
Read moreFirst of all, apologized if some wordings are “disturbing” but this is the experience i got. Overall experience is very very very very very bad.. its just 2 of us.. we ordered sweet and sour siakap and broccoli and mushroom.. then came a family.. and as per normal.. they also ordered.. to our surprise… the family that got to the restaurant later than us already start eating.. while i have to wait nearly an hour for the food we ordered. After few attempts of checking our orders, the food finally came… broccoli…. Salty… and this is the disturbing part.. there is a dead snail or slug in between the broccoli buds.. the fish.. crispy… but its like being poured with just tomato sauce with some cut veges… long story short.. i already had no appetite.. so we decided to took off.. paying time… siakap alone already 68 ringgit.. they deducted the broccoli dish.. which i can get cheaper price eating seafood in KL.. like seriously… promise myself this will be the first and last for u sky ocean.. to those who commented “oohh to die for” or “must try”.. please go see doctor for your taste buds…. Highly highly highly not recommended. Please reconsider other better options. Again.. apologies for the comment.. just my experience.. and might be beneficial to...
