All about Pahang - Kuantan It's a twist of fate that I came to Muhibbah Seafood - I was supposed to go to Hwa Ang but fate had it that they were closed on that fateful day. Frantically looking for other options, the missus informed me about this restaurant that was recommended by her Kuantan associates. Located right next to the Kuantan River and very near to Kuantan Marine Police Base, it turned out to be quite popular with the locals. It's air-conditioned inside the no-frill, basic restaurant ◾fried keropok - packs were seen hanging there to take and I just had to take one to munch. ◾stir fried fish with taucu sauce - the original version was supposed to be spicy but she wanted the kids to eat together so she opted to omit the spiciness. They still didn't eat and we ended up finishing the whole plate (should have settled for spicy as I believed it'd be better). ◾stir fried green dragon vegetable ◾deep fried flat fish - I was happy to know that they also serve this dish like Hwa Ang. ◾salt & pepper slipper lobster - deep fried crustaceans that were sweet in taste. ◾dry curry seafood - this would have made a rice-puller dish of that day. Oh yes, service was a bit slow as they cooked by tables in order from the earliest to the latest. Note: You can also buy fresh seafood from Crab King seafood supplier opposite and have them cooked by Muhibbah.

Called to reserve a table. Parked away and walked in. Arrived close to 8pm - the venue was packed. Was informed, we had to wait for an hour, which we did. Air-conditioning inside. Outdoor seating available in their porch. Tried a few recommendation of theirs - steamed shark meat with ginger, stir fried sweet potato leaves, marmite chicken and salted egg squid rings. All good. Also, bagged some buns sold to have for breakfast / tea tomorrow - sftill soft and fluffy the next day. Worth the wait, if you may.

I recently stumbled upon this hidden gem in Kuantan that serves delicious seafood. I ordered the Kong Pow mantis prawn and fried shark meat, and I must say, they were both fantastic. The flavors were rich and satisfying, and it was evident that many locals enjoy dining here as well. While there was a slight saltiness to the dishes, the affordable prices definitely make up for it. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for tasty seafood in Kuantan. Can't wait to come back again!"

Ordered yao ban (oil grouper), lady boss who took order suggested 2 slices for teo chew steam. When dish served, I found out that there was only 1 slice. Fish meat was Fishy with weird smell.

Ordered chilli crab too, sauce very salty. Meat was ok.

When I went to counter and paid the bill, I informed them there was only 1 slice of fish, then the kitchen worker came arguing that there were 2 slices, and lady boss saw this and just kept quiet. Fine !! I would pay for that, but that would be my last...
