All about Pahang - Kuantan
It's a twist of fate that I came to Muhibbah Seafood - I was supposed to go to Hwa Ang but fate had it that they were closed on that fateful day. Frantically looking for other options, the missus informed me about this restaurant that was recommended by her Kuantan associates.
Located right next to the Kuantan River and very near to Kuantan Marine Police Base, it turned out to be quite popular with the locals. It's air-conditioned inside the no-frill, basic restaurant
◾fried keropok - packs were seen hanging there to take and I just had to take one to munch. ◾stir fried fish with taucu sauce - the original version was supposed to be spicy but she wanted the kids to eat together so she opted to omit the spiciness. They still didn't eat and we ended up finishing the whole plate (should have settled for spicy as I believed it'd be better). ◾stir fried green dragon vegetable ◾deep fried flat fish - I was happy to know that they also serve this dish like Hwa Ang. ◾salt & pepper slipper lobster - deep fried crustaceans that were sweet in taste. ◾dry curry seafood - this would have made a rice-puller dish of that day.
Oh yes, service was a bit slow as they cooked by tables in order from the earliest to the latest.

Read moreOrdered yao ban (oil grouper), lady boss who took order suggested 2 slices for teo chew steam. When dish served, I found out that there was only 1 slice. Fish meat was Fishy with weird smell.
Ordered chilli crab too, sauce very salty. Meat was ok.
When I went to counter and paid the bill, I informed them there was only 1 slice of fish, then the kitchen worker came arguing that there were 2 slices, and lady boss saw this and just kept quiet. Fine !! I would pay for that, but that would be my last...

Outdoor seating available in their porch. Tried a few recommendation of theirs - steamed shark meat with ginger, stir fried sweet potato leaves, marmite chicken and salted egg squid rings. All good.
