Avoid at all cause. This place is a tourist trap. I had the river prawn vermicelli in claypot for RM 103 and tea for RM 3. It had 2 prawns in it and a rather big bowl of vermicelli. Taste was alright which is probably the only reason why i put a 1 star. Service was poor and when I asked them about the price they initially told us it would cost about RM 40-50 per bowl and when the bill came it was RM106. There were no price tag on the menu.We asked them the price of the prawns and the waiters and waitress which was mainly consist of myanmar workers and very old chinese locals became very defensive and rude. They said the price of the prawns are all on the board which was RM11/100gram and they weight all the prawns beforehand. For RM103 based on our calculation, the prawns must weight a good 936gram- ( 468gram per prawn ) which is ridiculous as our prawns would weight a max of 600gram-700gram. the shops cleanliness was below...

Dishonest restaurant. No price indicated on the menu (sounded fishy already right?). We ordered small size for all dishes, mentioned 3 or more times to them. They still brought big size and charged us higher.

We ordered vegetables dish for a vegetarian. They added meatand seafood so that they can charged higher.

We were not happy with the dishonest act but we didn't argue with them. I believe in karma as we witnessed their lost of 2 expensive fishes they served because they made the wrong order for the other table while we are eating. That customer refused to accept their mistakes.

Food is okay but expensive. We paid 400+ for a 1kg+ fish, 2 dishes with pork, 1 tofu, 1 vege, 1 steam egg. I highly recommend the other restaurant called 泽源 which is more reasonable...

There are plenty of seats, and the food is quite tasty but the wait is long. Dishes took nearly an hour to serve so if you’re in a rush, it’s not recommended. But if you have time to spare, it’s worth a visit! Parking can be a challenge, especially on weekends or public holidays.

The menu is thoughtfully designed. Almost every dish comes with a photo, so you don’t have to guess what you’re ordering. Ingredients are fresh, and they’re generous with both main ingredients and garnishes. The staff are polite and patient — great service!

Food Recommendations: Salted Egg Fried Squid 🦑 – Absolutely delicious! Rich in flavor and perfectly done. Stout Pork Ribs – Very aromatic and tasty, highly...

A popular restaurant serving good Chinese food for lunch and dinner just nice for hungry visitors coming down from Genting Highland. We tried the clam + meehoon soup recently. It was superb. Quality of side dishes like fried vegetables was nice too. The seafood dishes, steamed egg, tofu dishes, fried noodles and fried rice served on the other tables looked appetising too. Well, Guan Kie (新群记) is an old-fashioned Chinese restaurant with its typical style of management and decorations. Wouldn't say it was comfortable and airy to stay long after finishing your meal. One thing, don't miss buying the biscuit & pastry products freshly baked at 人间美味 stall located just outside the same restaurant. Highly recommended.

This place was much nicer than expected! Empty at around 2pm when I went. Food was served fast, hot and the server was trilingual plus very friendly. Had their signature Jumbo prawn vermicelli, Salted egg Sotong (not pictured) and Local spinach. Vermicelli was delicious! Prawn soup was so rich and prawns were bigger than my hand. Spinach was on the oily side but it will be ok if eaten with rice. Salted egg Sotong must order! So crispy and well coated with salted egg. Sotong chunks are sizable and chubby. Also had homemade barley which was very natural and not sweet at all. Total price for 2pax was about 50sgd - the vermicelli being the most expensive. Cheaper than Mushroom farm- left very happy!
