23/7/23 Arrieved around 1130am, already crowded and most table were occupied. Food: ordered 9 dishes. Stewed pigtail with groundnuts, fried pig intestine, lala soup and fried egg plant with fried dried shrimp. Steamed fish was acceptable, fresh and no muddy smell. A bit too oily to my taste. Service: there are plenty of servers and workers around, they are quite spontenius and actively responding to customer's request. Table, chairs, chopsticks, plate, soup bowl and floor were fine, a bit oily no rubbish or tissues everywhere. Toilet was kind of smelly, male toilet. Female toilet according to my sister was wet. Male toilet was wet thought, both male toilet. Atmosphere: the table and chairs, all are in good condition and better than most restaurant would offer to my surprise. Cause it was too crowded and noisy, walkway is tiny but workers were quite aware of customer especially kids to avoid accident happens. Setting of the venue is quite bright. Actually, nothing much to mention about this. Price: depends on your budget, take fish for example, the steamed 白须公, size about 1kg, RM78.80. The price is including cooking. We ordered 10 dishes, chicken, lala, fish, pork etc, total bill was RM370. Beside fish and lala, 8 other dishes was small size. I know, including myself, Gohtong Jaya used to have this bad reputation to simply charge slaughter customer. To my surprise, this bill is totally acceptable and reasonable. However, customer still need to be careful with the food / dishes they order especially comes to seafood like fish or crab. Make sure the price say RM5 / 100g or RM x / kg, if it is including cooking or cooking will be charged separately? Also, there was another incident happened. We found out, though receipt, the cashier messed up the charges and dishes causing confusion. Anyway, as customer, we need to be careful too, always cross checking with receipt. Overall: not a bad or good dining experience, foods are fine, wok hei can be felt, price reasonably. For me, I don't come back again, there are plenty of choices around. Parking is quite limited, especially during weekend so might need to park a bit further and walk to...

My family and I recently visited 龙记菜馆 and unfortunately, my experience was terribly disappointed.
We were in good mood that we can finally dine in this “good-rated” restaurant but the first impression was really a mood spoiler.
We reached the restaurant and we were blocked at the entrance by a slim and wearing spectacles uncle which the staff said he is manager there. We were asked how many of us and we told him the number of pax while waiting my other family members to slowly got down the car and walked over.
The uncle-manager then started his nagging keep repeating all diners have to gather before he can let us go in and in fact my other family members were just few steps away from us. His behavior was understandable for a good-business restaurant. However, he then kept repeating and repeating, his voice was getting louder and louder in a rude tone. It was really annoying.
We then went in the restaurant with a full stomach of anger, we actually wanted to leave at the first place but having the thoughts that maybe their food was really delicious which can compromise the terrible customer services.
To make matters worse, the food was incredibly underwhelming which I doubt whether the good reviews are genuine. Each of the dishes were so salty and actually they were more pricey comparing to their neighbors.
We paid the bill first while we still eating. One of the staff just walked over without giving any advance notice and placed a stand with the word “谢谢惠顾” in a harsh manners. This action really triggered our anger and we asked what’s the meaning? Was it a hint to us to leave faster to make space for next customers? Ridiculously, the uncle-manager told us it is their rules and we had to follow it. OMG! 三观颠覆!
In short, this has became the “one-time onlyvisited”restaurant in my list and I will not recommend my friends to dine here as I don’t wish them to have the same bad experience which I had...
Read moreThis restaurant came highly recommended, and it definitely lived up to expectations. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and we loved each one. We had the Steamed Taliapia Fish (700g+) for RM45, which was incredibly fresh and tender, with a light and flavorful broth that enhanced its natural sweetness. The Stir-Fried Green Beans (small) for RM18 had a nice crunch and were cooked just right, with fragrant bits of crispy garlic adding extra flavor. The Deep Fried Loong Kee Pork Belly (small) for RM29 was a standout dish—perfectly crispy on the outside, slightly sweet, and incredibly addictive. It had just the right balance of crunch and chewiness, making it impossible to stop eating. The Braised Bean Curd in Claypot (small) for RM18 was rich and comforting, with a silky texture and a flavorful sauce that paired well with rice. The Egg Foo Yong (small) for RM15 was also well-executed, fluffy with a slightly crispy edge, making it a simple yet satisfying dish. With such delicious food, eating without rice just wouldn’t feel complete! The dining environment was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Despite the restaurant being quite popular, service was efficient, and we didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive. The staff were attentive, and everything was served hot and fresh. With additional rice and drinks, our total bill including tax came to RM142, which was reasonable for the quality, portion sizes, and overall dining experience. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you’re looking for a satisfying and well-prepared meal. Highly...
