This shop opens at 6am. But it really starts serving food and drinks at about 6:45am. This however doesn't stop the chinese uncles from coming at 6 and enjoying the morning paper after dropping their grandchildren at school, patiently waiting for their morning coffee. This shop really does have the old kopitiam vibe. Even has the janky panel of switches Malaysian grew up with.
Main attraction for this kopitiam is their Kaya toast. Available in the form of sliced bread or bun. Steamed or toasted. Served beside a slice of butter and a helping of Kaya. Biting into the steamed Kaya toast is like biting into a sweet and buttery cloud. The toasted bun with Kaya is simply delicious. The coffee is served in porcelain cup very old school! Rich, strong and not too sweet.
