I noticed some of the waiters are Thai, I think it’s a Thai family business. They were very friendly. I reached at 6pm, there were people sitting around the table already. Then, the crowd started flooding the restaurant. My boyfriend and I ordered small Tomyam King, fried mushrooms and steamed prawns with garlic. Tomyam soup was so tasty, it was even tastier that what I tried in Bangkok🤣 We love it, although it was a bit spicy for both us. There were mushrooms, prawns, sotong, tomatoes and chicken. Steamed prawns is a must!!! The garlic and chillis with the tinge of lemon, it was perfect! They even removed the prawns shell so you can eat it happily! Fried mushrooms were nice, crispy and cheap! Although not so seasoned, but we enjoy it. The food was really, we will definitely come back again! What can be improved is the environment, it was dirty. As soon as I arrived, I noticed an unpleasant odor that pervaded the air. It was quite off-putting and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable experience.
It's important to note that I understand that environmental factors and unforeseen circumstances can sometimes contribute to such situations. However, the management should take immediate action to identify the source of this odor and address it promptly. Whether it be improper waste disposal, inadequate ventilation, or any other underlying cause, resolving this problem would greatly enhance the...
Read moreWe know Tomyam King is one of must eat food in Bentong. Just because the Lemang To'ki is under maintenance, then we come here. Since the food category is abit similar(what we thought), unlike Chinese food.
The restaurant is just opened in front the bungalow garage and it extended the place for more seats.
What we ordered: Tom yam Mix : Got prawn, meat and vegetables. The soup better drink carefully its abit choke spicy and sour. Very suitable for rice eating. Fried Mushroom with Sauce : Kids sure like this dish. My dad keep taking and praise this dish. For me I feel tasty but no overrated lah. But still its a very nice snacks. The sauce its mixed by coriander, chilli padi, carrots, onion and some Thai fish sauce. Mixed Vegetables : We want to order Salted Fish Kailan, unfortunately its sold out. Just a normal cooked mix vegetables. Thai Style Prawn : Hard to explain the taste. Its kind of flavor like marmite but more tend to sweetness. Quite tasty and the prawn also fresh.
Overall is great. The price also consider cheap. Just the owner change more RM 6 for the jug of Chinese Tea, since we just order 1 cup of it. And waiting time not too long, around 20 mins, because plenty...
Read moreGood and cheap. RM135 for 9 of us. 9! DIRT CHEAP FOR CLEAN FOOD. (That said, some of us were still feeling stuffed from Raub durians an hour before so this could have been a higher price)
Ginger onion Lala the best! It's stir-fried until you can taste the "fire" and "wok"! Deep but true. Mushrooms fried in batter - not a fan of shrooms, but this was done decently. Coupled with mayo and Thai sauce, it seemed to me more a good snack than a main dish. Tomyam soup - super spicy (I have low spicy tolerance) but so good in spicing up the meal esp when taken with rice! Prawns - forgot what sauce, I think it's spicy Thai sauce. Well cooked, excellent presentation. Tofu with minced meat - tofu and meat and gravy didn't go well. Don't order it. Stir-fried Kailan - decent.
It can be a lil difficult to find but it's worth it. We went at 6pm which is right at its evening opening time, and the weather and view were pretty...
