I should pre warn you that this place looks a little dingy from outside. It's a simple style of hawker stall that's located beside a main road.
However, we should never judge a book by its cover. It only looks dark from the outside. Once you enter, they have put some lighting to brighten it up. There are a couple of fans but very inadequate. Coupled with the zinc roofing, it can get pretty hot. This is classical local food in local simple setting where it can be a wee bit uncomfortable.
But all is forgiven once you dig into their Jawa mee. Simply superb. The saltiness mixed with sweetness of the gravy in it's perfectly thick consistency when mixed with noodles results in the best Jawa mee you can get. Perfect score for me.

Of course, we had to try both the original soup and dry versionsâboth equally satisfying in...

Well, personally I am not a big fan of Jawa Mee. And this place didn't impress me nor it did change my mind.
The broth is somewhat very diluted. The ingredients are simple, I just find it okay. I do love the crackers that came with the noodles. That was really good.
Sorry, I have had better ones in Penang island itself and this is at most passable.
The price is reasonable. And I do love the nice spacious dining place with cross...
