This place deserves 5 stars for scrumptious, delectable Nyonya food fare. You won't miss this shop as even the outside deco is very authentic. Back to the food, we had the assam fish slices which was the star dish and it wasn't too spicy which suited our palate. Pepes chicken was another worthy mention. We also ordered sin kong tofu which is not exactly Nyonya but was really tasty and packed with quality ingredients. Only the mushroom seemed a bit devoid of flavour. Been here for Chinese New Year family dinner for the second time, last year and this year. The food is consistent and taste good. Pricing is reasonable with big portion of food.

Dishes this year: Butter Prawns, Steamed Egg, Mango Kerabu, Perut Ikan, Stir Fried Choy Sum, Steamed Fish, Assam Pork, Hu Ju Char and Chicken with ginger and onions.

Overall, I would highly recommend Bee Gaik Restaurant for all local and travellers who pass by this area in Ipoh Garden South.

I was born and raised in a Peranakan family in Melaka, my mother in law introduced me to this shop to try the perut ikan. I was here four years ago before covid and yesterday we tried again once with dinner.
