1. Overall - Chinese stir fry restaurant, limited seating do expect queue during peak hours, food selection are butter prawns, butter fish, crispy noodle, homemade tofu, thai steamed fish and many more from Weng Kee Seafood Restaurant（永記海鮮飯店）
2. fried butter fish - big portion, fresh fish, crispy battered skin with soft inner, a little dry for my liking
3. seafood crispy noodle - fresh seafood, crispy noodle, flavouful and aromatic sauce
4. kai lan with yam - creamy sauce, fresh vegetable, tasted good in a pair
5. weng kee tofu - soft tofu, great texture, tasted good
6. Shanghai steamed chicken - flavourful and aromatic, tender juicy chicken, great pair with white rice
7. pickle vegetable with pork - unique taste, tender meat, falls apart, pickle vege was flavourful too
8. caramel custard - newly introduced,...

Went to Weng Kee as is highly recommended by friend. Price of food is fair.

However we have a bad dining experience:

1. We had 2 batches of patron. Initially they do not want to serve us thinking that we hv very few people.

2. The staffs are not friendly.

3. Asked how's the portion for small & medium. As we wanted to order small portion for all our 7 items for 1 man, 4 ladies & 3 kids. The restaurant owner told us she knows how to adjust. It came out too much (no rice) for us.

4. Need to pack unfinished food. We passed 4 plates but only 3 packs were out from kitchen. Then we told them we supposed to hv 4 packs. Then later on another pack was brought out.

5. Vegetable was not fresh...

I have been here two times with my elderly parents and both times we were spoken to in a terribly rude and impatient manner, once by the old man, and another by the old lady, I assume they are the owners. Two times means it is not a fluke.

Honestly, I do not understand how you can be in the f&b business and not know how to speak to customers properly, politely, and clearly. The food may be fantastic (although it's mediocre at best), but the way these two people speak has put me off to ever return to this place. We are paying customers, and we deserve some semblance of respect. You are by no means the only restaurant in Ipoh. And no one is obligated to give you business. I will...
