Tucked away in a serene corner of Ipoh, Breda Café is where calm meets class. The atmosphere is effortlessly elegant soft lighting, modern minimalist décor, and a peaceful vibe that invites you to slow down and savour the moment. Whether you're catching up with a friend or enjoying a solo treat, this place radiates comfort and style.

The food? Exquisite. Although on the pricier end, every dish is thoughtfully prepared with quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. I had the pleasure of trying the Aglio Olio with Mushrooms simple, aromatic, and packed with earthy flavour. The al dente pasta, tossed in olive oil and garlic, was elevated by the rich umami of sautéed mushrooms.

Next was the Tuna Avocado Salad light, refreshing, and full of balance. The creaminess of the avocado paired perfectly with the lightly seasoned tuna, all topped with a zesty dressing that pulled everything together.

But the highlight was undoubtedly the Grilled Norwegian Salmon a thick, perfectly grilled fillet with crispy skin and tender, flaky meat. It sat on a bed of seasonal vegetables and a delicate sauce that brought out the natural richness of the fish. Truly luxurious.

To quench my thirst, I chose the Cranberry Lemonade fruity, tangy, and just the right level of sweetness. And for a comforting end to the meal, the Paris English Tea offered a floral, slightly citrusy aroma that was both calming and refined.

While the bill may lean towards the premium side (RM35–RM60+ per person), the overall experience from the warm ambiance to the meticulously prepared food makes Breda Café worth every sen. It's a perfect spot for those who appreciate flavour, tranquility, and a touch of indulgence in their...

Look, I've lost count how many times I've visited.

Breda is the cornerstone for great quality brunches in Ipoh, and has been that way for years. Lazy weekend mornings aren't the same without poring through their vast selection, from waffles to eggs Hollandaise to a good ol' big breakfast.

Their menu is generally delicious, but I always order their smashed avocado toast. Served with your choice of protein, the avocado meshes perfectly with poached egg and a thick slice of sourdough. The pairing with smoked salmon is best because it's hard to get elsewhere.

For the lunch menu I'm a sucker for their pork chops. Tender and well-seasoned, honey garlic is the sauce that hits the spot for me (they used to have a creamy sun-dried tomato sauce that was even better but sadly discontinued). Other worthwhile items to try are the truffle risotto, bloody Mary pasta with vodka, and truffle waffle with fried chicken.

To round off, the environment is soothing and evokes classicism, the service staff are attentive, and prices are slightly on the high side but worth it. A coffee and main course would be about RM40+.

Through the years, they've remained consistent and still put out delicious meals. Breda is a cut above generic western outlets, with more thought and effort put in.

Highly...

I passed by the cafe and I was amazed with the queue outside the shop and decided to tried it.

Maybe I visit on the wrong day because the staffs were in a bad mood. 1)the lady waiter- I am not expecting you to smile when serving food but at least don't scowl each time you serve your customer. It is a pity for your boss who have to pay you salary but you making your purpose working there to spoil your customers mood 2) the gentleman cashier- I paid in cash and he is complaining to himself that he is unsure if there is enough change for the cash.

Both of them is quite good looking but their temper .😲

Food wise is excellent. I quite enjoy the combination of flavours they use for their red wine chicken. It is a unique experience.

I usually don't like to write a bad review but here comes the reason I write this review. Their green tea latte makes me wanna cry. It tasted like plain water and green tea powder. The price is not cheap but I don't mind paying for a good cup of latte. Please look into your barista and make sure they have quality control on the latter they serve. Good food +bad latter = sad me.

I hope the owner will look into this and improve this. All the best...
