Updates on my return in 2024: My feedback from 2023 still stands particularly about the rooms. Seriously need some improvement. Please read under Rooms column.

I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to Hisham, the person in charge for the banquet and meeting room. His attentiveness and service were superb.

Food in MH Hotel is amazing. Keep this up!

Feedback from 2023: I recently stayed at the MH Hotel and while the convenience and service were quite good, there were definitely some areas that left a lot to be desired. On the plus side, the hotel was conveniently located and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, there were some major drawbacks that made my stay less enjoyable.

Firstly, the toilet in my room was dirty and appeared to not have been properly cleaned. This was a major disappointment and made me feel uncomfortable using the facilities. Additionally, the towels provided were old and worn, which detracted from the overall cleanliness of the room.

Another issue was the lack of slippers provided. While this may seem like a minor detail, it's something that I would expect to be standard in a hotel room. It's not very hygienic to walk around on the carpet without any protection for your feet.

Lastly, the cups provided in the room were not properly washed and had visible stains on them. This made me question the overall cleanliness of the room and made me hesitant to use anything in it.

Overall, while the MH Hotel has some good points, there are definitely some improvements that need to be made to ensure that guests have a comfortable and...

This is not a hotel I would come back to stay again and wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here until things significantly improve.

On the day I tried to check in, I was told by the front-desk staff - Prema - that they only received a "Cancelled" booking email from Expedia (I booked through Expedia) and there's no confirmed booking for me, despite the fact that she was reading an email by Expedia to me informing that I have a confirmed booking for the night. Granted, it could be issues caused by Expedia end but none of the staffs were helpful at all to help resolve - they just informed that this was an issue between me and Expedia and I had to call and resolve it myself and even refused to borrow me their phone to call Expedia.

After reaching out to Expedia who was much more helpful, courteous and efficient, the agent at Expedia helped to reach out to the hotel but no one wanted to pick up her call. I can also see that Prema hanged up two calls without so much speaking into the phone while the agent mentioned that she was trying to reach the hotel.

While things were finally resolved - it some time and a lot of patience - we were given a room that smelled like someone had smoked there previously. The hot water was faulty and did not work in the morning.

Avoid this place like the plague. You might have a more enjoyable stay in Ipoh by going elsewhere such as The Haven or some Airbnb. If not for the convenience of attending a friend's wedding in their ballroom later that night, I would have much preferred to...

I have stayed from 15 to 20 August 2020 at MH Hotel Ipoh and it was an awesome experience! First impressed by the modern interior design and cute decor such the cuddly teddy bears at the lobby. The SOP by Health Department is well practiced and observed. The room is tidy and clean with a king size bed and there are complete toiletries provided such as toothbrush, hair shampoo, shower gel, body lotion, soap, shower cap, sanitary bag, cotton buds and even shaver with cream. The housekeeping staff will replenish toiletries everyday and efficiently makes bed or change linen on call if needed, thanks to my housekeepers during my stay. This hotel is strategically located at heart of town, so almost everything is within walking distance or you could just order Grab easily to get you farther. Beside the hotel are McDonald's and Petronas, further up are Tesco and Aeon Mall. The breakfast was great! Menu such as nasi lemak with rendang ayam, tasty omelette and more are available here. My best experience definitely is when my child was surprised by a gift from his new friend the chef of the Pinnacle at level 20, Mr Kalai. The chef is very friendly and always with his warm smile! May God bless you Mr Kalai and every staffs of MH Hotel for being good host during my work trip at Ipoh.

since i booked during peak season, sure the price was totally acceptable. a standard room for RM237 included breakfast for two. but it makes pissed off when i got a room with a totally unacceptable toilet. i paid that price to get a very dirty toilet bowl. i checked in at 4pm, i saw a broke light and immediately called the front office to get it fix. and yup they got it fixed immediately. then i entered the toilet around 6pm i saw a VERYYYY DIRTY toilet. since im too tired to request for a new room, because i have unpacked my things, so i just let it slide. but please, get it check before you enter the room. i am totally dissapointed on how they gave a room with that condition. but the staff was nice so i couldnt rate it below than it should be. youre lucky that i was the customer. think of any influencer that makes everything viral. you would not safe i think. but honestly, please do check for the room's toilet. my room was 1108. the foods for breakfast were also nice. idk theres so many good things to putt for a review but the dirty toilet soooooo dissapointing. how i wish i would get a refund for my emotional damage whenever i entered the toilet. it totally ruining my mood. the photo i uploaded only on the toilet bowl. but its getting scarier below the toilet bowl & i cant even take a photo of it cause every time i saw it i would want to vomit

A hotel at very prominent location... highly visible from the North South Expressway. By and large, it is a simple hotel, good enough place to lay over for the night. It is a bit worn, with traces of guests long gone (cracked counter tops, iron imprint on the carpet... stuff like that). Water pressure is very good, toiletries provided passable... though personally I am a bit annoyed by the absence of a bar of soap. Shower gels never really worked for me. The highlight of the stay was breakfast. The spread was pretty good for a 3 star hotel. Fresh soy milk and Ipoh white coffee not to be missed. There is on site parking on the 3 storey parking levels but if negotiating narrow passageways is not your thing, there always the option of parking at the open spaces at the ground level. Staff is courteous and helpful... perhaps maybe a bit underhanded. Request for services takes a few rounds of asking but delivered with smiling faces. The tv is not great but I've had worse. The telephone is messed up with nothing to show you what to dial for services. Maybe it is the renovation that is taking place. Hope they put that one right. If I stopping by on my way to somewhere, I may stay again but I won't be spending my holidays here.
