Canning Garden Bak Kut Teh Restaurant — Restaurant in Perak

To be honest, the taste of the bak kut teh is quite good. The fishball and veges are good too. However, the service is terrible. As many of the reviews said “the lady boss show black face and don’t refill the soup”. It’s true. I’ve been here many times not because I like it but because there is no other bak kut teh around. I complain everytime but I still come back just because I don’t have other choices. The soup is not even full when it arrives and if you ask them to refill, they will do it reluctantly and refill just half of it. Very very bad service. This place used to have a lot of customers but nowadays it’s almost always empty. The owner should reflect on this. If the service is good, it would be a perfect place to dine in. Came here just because the “galanggal cafe beside was closed”… guys, please, dont come here to eat bak kut teh, there’re other nicer place for bak kut teh in ipoh… allow me to explain…

Isn’t it normal to add soup to your bak kut teh when your soup is finished ? Asked the lady there who is the boss most likely, to please add soup, guess what, she added only half of the bowl… like what ?! Nevermind… we finished the soup, then we politely asked tk refill second time, she gave us the annoyed look, and added less than half of the bowl… my goodness! Even in KL they don’t do this ! What’s wrong with this place ?!

Never stated only cash payment…like what ?! Luckily we have standby extra cash…

Plus… their bak kut teh is really...

Had dinner here earlier today with family. Ordered both Soup and Dry Bak Kut Teh, Fishballs, You Tiao, white rice and fried shallot rice.

Fried shallot rice is just fried shallots on top of white rice; which is disappointing (just order white rice if you are here). Soup Bak Kut Teh taste just alright. Dry Bak Kut Teh is fine. The fishballs, as a side dish is good.

The service was quite bad, with the lady taking order keep pushing us to get bigger portions and order more items. The lady also don't look happy with the type of expression while ordering. It is a hot day here, and the air conditioned area is not open for customer to dine in.

Overall, it is not recommended and I would not return...
