Little Allegra Bakery — Restaurant in Perak

I hope the fans of this little cafe wont hate me for giving such low review. I actually did not dine there but i have all the intentions to hv a Sat brunch there. This happened last Saturday around 11am ish. Actually i got to know about this cafe from a japanese couple youtube content creator. They ordered a stack sandwich, quiche and churos with chocolate dip. It does looks so so delicious so I decided to drop by since i was in Ipoh. The breads and pastries were layout (uncovered) on a display cabinet near the cashier area. On the display cabinet different shelves also were some costumes jewelleries which i find really odd. Nothing that the content creator ate were displayed on that cabinet. So when its my turn at the cashier I asked about the 3 items and was told there were not available on that day. When I asked the cashier when are those items available she said not sure as they have different varieties everyday fullstop. She wasn't friendly and helpful. It makes me wonder how many trips do i need to go to the cafe in order to get the pastries the content creator ordered!! Definitely not going back...

Not many table in this cafe, maybe could make a reservation before coming if you don’t want to wait. A bit shine and warm as the big window without any curtains and no decorations also lead a lot of echo in the room which make it so noisy when bunch of people talking. Maybe owner can hanging the curtains, block the strong sunlight also can absorb the sound.

🍖Lamb spare rib with spinach balls - Have nice plating, the rib cooked not too well with a tender, juicy mouthfeel, the sauce were flavorful and so good with the ribs. Spinach balls were special and delicious. 🥯Smoked salmon sandwich - Their sourdough was soft inside and crusty on the outside, tasty!

The one star is for the decent latte I had and the ambiance. The butter cake was awfully dense, the meringue was too sweet for anyone' liking and overall I am genuinely surprised that the cake was put out for sale. After a bite, I could not bring myself to finish it. The pastries were not that good either, the croissant was just urgh. Just a tip to the owner to cover the goods on display instead leaving it out in the open throughout the day. I hope this criticisms encourage the owner to work on delivering better tastier quality goods. The aesthetic of the baked goods and the atmosphere of the place will not compensate for the lack of taste in their product. Honestly the reviews I read before having tasted them were...
