Caterbest Restaurant — Restaurant in Perak

Food: Like my neighbour teenager cook it for me,taste OK.Not delicious and enjoyable but can eat it.. No skill on presentation,just put everything on the plate. the visual certainly far from par. Quite expensive if both factors above are quite bad. I ordered chicken maryland and got breaded chicken small size, soaked fries, two 1/3 cut tomato, and coleslaw i think.not even bother to eat that.

Service: I never ask for the ground peanuts..before ordering waiter just put on my table without saying anything yet i need to pay RM4 for that. Another waiter also ask me if i need water,sure i said because quite hot that day.end up i get 1 big jug of cold water and got charged for it..but i dont mind that..price are 70 cent even though the jug quite big for myself and not finish the water still i think its a reasonable price. The other thing make me feels mad was i got charged for wet tissue that set up on the table before i sit there.im not even use it,not even open the packet but got charged for that i think RM1.50 per person.i went with my wife so another RM3 there. thats just ridiculous. Total near to RM 80 for 2 main dish and 2 juices. With that food quality, i just think to give zero star if i could. Feels like im being robbed..

Atmosphere: Really? Nothing like the normal old chinese style restaurant..Old decoration for me it just not my taste. Just look at the image in google than y'all know. For chinese muslim restaurant,please keep dog far from your restaurant.this is a red flag for me. I notice a dog sleep on the entrance while i exit the restaurant. Parking ok,easy to get. The location easy to find. But thats all the positives point.

Excessive Wait Time: We waited for almost an hour for our food to be served. Despite several polite inquiries, we received no updates or apologies from the staff. This lengthy delay is unacceptable and completely ruined our evening.

Unattentive and Rude Waitstaff: The waitresses were inattentive and seemed disinterested in providing good service. When we tried to get their attention to ask about our order, they were dismissive and even rude. This lack of basic courtesy is inexcusable in the service industry.

Crowded and Uncomfortable Environment: The restaurant was extremely crowded, with tables crammed close together. This made for a very uncomfortable dining experience, as we felt cramped and constantly had to maneuver around other patrons and staff. The noise level was also very high, making it difficult to have a conversation.

Mediocre Food Quality: After the long wait, we were expecting something special, but the food was merely average. It lacked flavor and presentation, and did not stand out in any way. For the price, we expected much better.

Overpriced for the Experience: The prices were exorbitant and did not reflect the quality of the food, the service, or the overall dining experience. It felt like we were paying for a premium experience, but received subpar food and poor service instead.

Overall, our visit to Caterbest Restaurant was a major letdown. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant...

Had my first and likely only visit to Cater Best Restaurant, a Chinese halal eatery in Beecham, Ipoh. The place is highly rated online, but my experience didn’t quite match the hype.

Food: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆

Ordered their recommended signature dishes:

Baby Kailan – Just a basic stir-fried vegetable, nothing outstanding.

Lemon Chicken – Crispy but overly sweet, lacking the right balance of flavors.

Salted Sliced Fish – Slightly oily and not as flavorful as expected.

The food was average at best and not memorable.

The Malay staff were friendly and efficient, which was the best part of the visit. Service was smooth, and food arrived promptly.

For the food quality, it felt overpriced. There are better halal Chinese food options in Ipoh.
