The staff, particularly Nimal, are very helpful and friendly. The location is great, near the highway exit, a few blocks from the main road and next door to Tesco Extra and a 24/7 Malaysian food eatery that serves usual Malaysian dishes like roti canai, nasi kandar, mee goreng and an assortment of drinks. A 5 minute walk across the main road leads you to more restaurants & shops. Ample parking spaces available with max RM4 daily council parking fee and you can buy the parking slip from hotel reception. The hotel, rooms and facilities are clean, tidy, modern and comfortable. I booked directly with the hotel for connecting rooms which have windows with blockout curtains, a street view that looks onto Tesco and larger room size. There are only 2 floors with a small flight of stairs and not a lot of noise from other guests. The towels, beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. Bathroom is a good size with toilet and shower stall equipped with hot & cold water, rain shower and normal shower head and good water pressure. They provide hair dryer, soap, shower cap, bath gel, shampoo & toilet paper. There is a safe, free water bottles daily, complimentary coffee with electric kettle and cups in-room. Also a small open hanging rod with a few hangers for clothes and a good sized desk and chair. Aircond is adjustable with a small electric desk fan also provided. There are two minute noodles for sale at RM2.50 in case you get peckish. For a small fee, I became a member which gives me discounted rooms including at their sister hotel nearby, Indra Boutique Suites. My family and I will stay here again anytime...

Read moreLately, we have been trying numerous hotels of all categories. The latest boutique hotel we stayed was Indra Hotel, Ipoh. Surprisingly, this is a good boutique hotel located 5 minutes off the PLUS Highway. It is next to TESCO Ipoh which makes it convenient if you intend to do some shopping or getting basic needs.||||The hotel does not offer breakfast but just across the hotel there is a Mamak restaurant operating 24 hours and you would not miss anything and it is cheap too. The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner.||||The décor is fantastic and we loved it very much and it gives you a good feeling and the wow factor too and the set up in front of the elevator and hallway were lovely. Nice bed with flat TV, air-cond plus fan and free bottled waters and a very good water pressure for shower and hot water. The Bathroom is cute and very practical. There is kettle to make coffee too.||||It is a simple hotel with lovely décor and very practical layout that you could not find in Europe. The best part was the price is very much below than the quality they were giving. Public parking is ample around the hotel but during the day it would be chargeable by the City Council.||||It is one of the best small boutique hotel we came across and we do not hesitate to go back to the hotel, simply because we loved it. Thank you Indra Hotel. You are the best.||||Saha & Yam||Stayed...
