Celebrated my mother in law's birthday last weekend and not even one of the family members or guests like a single dish. The dinner costed RM400 plus for 7 adults and 1 child. Expensive food but not up to standard.
We ordered fried prawn with salad which only had the mayonnaise taste. The prawn should be seasoned before cooking. This dish itself costed RM100 plus. We also had yam with veg but the yam was cut open and the skin was not crispy at all as its soaked in the gravy. Claypot tofu was ok but it tasted fishy because of the squid used. Due to the dishes were all served in big plates, the waitress keep changing the dish to smaller plate and the claypot served no purpose as it become cold dish so fast.
Pork knuckle with mantou was also under seasoning. In normal days, we can finish this dish but. It was left over by half as nobody like it. The tilapia fish was ok but the sauce was overwhelming with red chili sauce and its also watery. My mother in law cooks better than the chef of this restaurant. Crispy lemon chicken tasted funny. The chicken was not fresh, the meat was weird and the skin was not crispy as it claimed.
The only nice thing about this restaurant is the area is huge and tables were arranged with ample distance from other customers which is good for social distancing. Also, there is live fish in the aquariums for kids to see.
No photo as we were all not too happy...
Read moreCame here for CNY day 1 dinner, 5:30pm seating.
Don’t come here if you want to have a nice dinner catching up with friends and family. The second seating is at 8:30pm but they will start to chase you out at 6:45pm, despite repeated requests to slow down the service of food.
I think it’s a reasonable expectation to have the food served according to our eating pace to accommodate different eating speeds. However, they kept serving us course after course despite our pleas, and despite the fact that half the previous course was still unfinished on the table. In fact, they bullied us into the last course by ladling our dessert into individual bowls and serving it to us, after we told them to delay serving us dessert…
Overall I felt like a product being pushed along an assembly line in a factory. Front line service staff were good enough at their job but if you push back, you will be met with senior staff/ management who may try to placate you with their words, but their actions will reveal otherwise.

Read moreWent for relative’s wedding dinner.. For the food only the dessert Fried Ice Cream is the best.. The 1st meal that have 5 types of food is quite tasty also, the prawn is quite special cuz it’s cooked by the truffles mushrooms oil, but others not really nice.. For the Bamboo Fish really wasted, the meat is too soft couldn’t eat the texture of the fish ady & for Iberico Pork is nice but I prefer black pepper style that the other restaurant cooked.. For the service, the waiter seems really like to listen to the people talking on stage & didn’t refill our drinks/notice us while we call him.. For the hall the light it quite weird, it not synchronize, for the speaker idk what to say it just not good for loud music, it kind of hurting the ears & for the wedding deco idk is it the restaurant design or outside people design, it just too simple.. My school graduation also...
