When it comes to Happy Ghost, OF COURSE, the cakoi is the main attraction. But let me tell you about something extraordinary they once sold: Mee Kari with udang and cakoi. Gila! It was the best thing ever, and I had breakfast there for days when they launched it. Sadly, it was only available for a few months because the preparation process was too lengthy for them.
Back to their cakoi—it's hands down the best in town. The kaya they serve with it is a game changer, chilled to perfection. You'll want more, but you know it's just right. Even my firstborn loves it. Cakoi was one of her earliest words, thanks to those delicious treats. There's something about the sun rays streaming through the venetian blinds and the bustling city noise that adds to the charm.
As for the coffee, it's the classic Chinese coffee shop standard in Ipoh. Lightly roasted with that signature margarine-like taste, it's consistently good. Feels like they all had their training together.
Happy Ghost is a must-visit for anyone craving the best cakoi and a nostalgic coffee...

You'll absolutely adore how this set is served to you: in a glass bowl of porridge on a wooden tablet. Mom ordered her favourite red beans soup and 1 helping of chee cheong fun wrapped in a cakoi with a mixed sauce. We were persuaded to order another fried stuff ie ma keok (horse shoe fritter). She insisted we brought the crowd in this morning as once my parents and I sat down, all the seats were quickly taken up. I think its the location of this stall. Corner of...
Read moreMy favourite place to have lunch alone if I'm feeling a little stressful. This shop is full of positive vibes. The owner and staffs are very friendly to all the customers. They take time to explain each and every dishes in the menu. They were having a small stall and now feel so happy for their growth. So sincere to preserve family tradition with her new ideas. All their dishes is tasty but my personal favourites are red bean cakoi(THE BEST), chee cheong fun with fish ball and chakoi+curry and best shot of iced coffee! So yummyyyy! All the best...
