My mum loved this place for a long time before the peanut candy became a huge craze. Perhaps if you're a fan of these kind of pastries, you'll like this place a lot but I'm indifferent about it.

This was my first time in a long time queuing for the peanut candy. I called the day before to prebook the biscuits (not candy) and they told me that I can collect at 10am. When I arrived at 9.50am, they told me one of the biscuits I wanted 咸蛋酥, won't be ready until 1pm (zzz). The peanut candy was also unavailable until 12.30pm so I thought, I'll come back again.

Called beforehand this time to ask if the biscuit is ready and they said yes. Went there and decided to queue for the peanut candy since my family likes it. The queue barely moved for the 40 minutes I was there. The only people who left were those in the shop that managed to buy and those who decided that the queue was too much.

I overheard the conversations of the staff and this was what I was unhappy about. They only make the peanut candy in batches. Today was 12.30pm to 2pm and only 2 big bags per every 15minutes. I wanted to know how many small bags are in the big bags so I could at least predict. They wouldn't give me an answer. Probably also a good marketing tactic because something you can't get always tastes better for some hey?

The 2 stars are definitely for the way they run the peanut candy queue. I have no comments on the biscuits. No doubt, they're good at what they do (making food). But an update to the people queueing outside doesn't...

Not good experience. I go on 3/9/2025, totally no peanut candy selling. They only selling moon cakes. We arrive at about 11.20am. Have to queue up as normal and the variety of moon cakes not prepare enough qty for customer. very dissapointed that both assorted nuts and assorted nuts with Hams was sold out as i wanted to buy for my parents. have to wait for another round which is about at 1.30pm-2pm. So we just take what they have. We buy total 11 pcs. So packing will be 8pcs pack in 2 boxes. Then 2pcs pack in a clear transparent box and then 1pc left I request them to pack in the transparent box for 2 one. Cos i will be travelling to penang then only back kl. I scare will be kemek. But the sales girl reluctant to give me the clear transparent box for 2 and only say if 1pc only can give you a plastic bag. Is company policy. What a company policy which totally not understanding at all. What a cost for a clear transparent box if i have spend rm 125 and you can't even give me a transparent box. Even if you do business, please get ready for a transparent box for 1pc moon cake instead of telling customer sorry for the left 1pc only can give you pack in a plastic bag. What kind of disappointment answer. Please prepare your own plastic case if you hv odd number or they ask you buy another 1more then i give you the plastic box.Customer service is not good. Then payment only cash. No credit card or touch and...

THE WORST EVER!!!!! IT IS ALL ABOUT THEIR ATTITUDE AND NONSENSE IDEA. I arrive there by 9am and have been in queue for 3hours+. But when my turn, they told me the flavor of 五仁 and 金腿 was out of stock. We are understandable for out of stock when mid au festival is around the corner. BUT THE PROBLEM IS WE DONT KNOW IT IS OUT OF STOCK EARLIER, and have to wait until your turn then found out. I TOLD THEM TO WRITE A NOTE INFRONT OF THE DOOR SO THAT EVERY CUSTOMER CAN TAKE AWARE OF and can choose to leave or continue, BUT THEIR ATTITUDE IS DID TOLD RELA THERE!! CAN RELA TOLD THE 200 people ONE BY ONE????? WRITE A NOTE IS THE FASTEST WAY TO LET EVERYONE KNOW AND THE MOST EFFICIENCY WAY, But they say CAN'T!! WTH!!?? Everyone drives 3-4hours from johor kl all that and queue for 3hours plus, just to found out it is out of stock. I been there by9am, and they say afternoon have another batch but not sure when will arrive, and i need to take another hoursss of queue and have to be extremely good luck to buy their mooncake. LOL, and they didnt mention earlier it is out of stock, keep saying already told rela. So if rela didnt told any of the customer, are you gonna deduct their salaries? JUST WRITE A NOTE THERE SO THAT EVERY CUSTOMER CAN REALIZE IT. Never been so angry to a shop and their attitude. Just told all the customer earlier when it is out of stock, our time is time too....

This little Chinese bakery is located in Taman Kampar, Ipoh. They are famous for their peanut candy, mooncake, kaya pastries, and many other chinese biscuits. I was there during the hype for mooncake since the Mid-Autumn Festival is around the corner. Ambience : ☆☆☆☆ This outlet is pretty old school. They have proudly maintained the essence of a typical chinese bakery feel. The interior is very basic with bright lighting and the area is clean. There is a long Q in order to purchase the items. This outlet has taken the initiative to employ Rela Services to manage the crowd and avoid any unpleasent incident. Service : ☆☆☆ Most staff communicate in Chinese language. They are helpful and tried their very best to address our curiosity. Hygiene and cleanliness are definitely their priority. Taste, Quality & Pricing : ☆☆☆☆ This outlet has various types of mooncakes, chinese pastries, peanut candy and many others. The mooncake is fresh, less sweet, and flavourful. Pricing is not as cheap as one may think, but it's affordable. Overall, this outlet is highly recommended for a visit to gain some interesting experience and self pampering with delicious pastries and candies.

I wanted to taste test all brands before buying. On arrival on thurs after breakfast nearby at 11am, the queue was barely 15mins. When we returned on Sunday after tasting other brands to buy at 2pm, the queue took 1hour 10mins. A service staff was nice enough to walk out at 2.15pm to walk down the queue and inform all that it’s till sell out or 3pm. Come early if you must have this. Cash only. I realised the rubber band may not seal in freshness for longer period and I repacked them for gifting when I returned to sg and it was still good on a Tuesday morning at 1am. I bought many salted egg pastries from other brands in Ipoh and Ming Yue were the most moist. I didn’t buy the salted egg pastries eventually as I was looking forward to a combination of pandan + salted egg + pork floss, the paste in there isn’t lotus but a bean which they can’t explain which - it was nice but unlike lotus, the pandan wasn’t fragrant enough in my opinion and I was anticipating a larger yolk. The queue is only for the peanut candy, if you like to buy any other treats here, walk pass the queue to the counter, very helpful people there 👍🏻
