This restaurant has been around for years, a favourite haunt for locals. Came here for dinner one rainy evening. Was not disappointed. Though the place was crowded, service was quick. My favourite at this place is their fresh steamed fish balls, deep fried black pomfret, and their fresh river prawn noodles. This time we did not order the black pomfret as they only had small size ones. The highlight was the fresh river prawns noodles. The prawns were fresh, and the gravy for the noodles was delicious, clear and light, different from the KL style with thicken gravy. The fishball were fresh and succulent. The veggie, recommended by the captain was unoque and absolutely delicious. Would definitely return to this place for a meal.

Food is really good and cooking style 古早味 真材实料, generous and fresh ingredients. The seafood pot was everyone's favourite. The sea cucumber huge, the dried seafood chunky. The grouper fish head (1.5 Kg) is optimal size for steam with dried radish and chilli. The freshly home made fish balls is a Must try. The lady boss friendly and the restaurant is spacious and table turns good.. To ensure fresh preparations. Overall, one of the best old joint in ipoh Food for thought. Chef was ex chairman of restaurant association

The food is delicious. Air conditioned place. It’s an old shop. The waitress who took our order is friendly. Food arrived and we took our first bite. It’s so good especially the salted egg with tofu. Just blended it nicely. The steam fish is perfect. Nicely done and not overcooked! For the vegetables, nothing much to brag but can have more ‘wok spirit’ to make it tastier. The tung por pork is so good. The fats, the lean meat and the sauce are so matching with one mouthful bite!

I ate here last night. A simple dish of fried noodles. I got food poisoning, unable to sleep, stomach pain and multi visits to the toilet. It's now 2.30pm next day, but I'm still affected. I'm very upset about this food poisoning. I've been sick for 3 days now. Careless unprofessional behaviour in the kitchen... not washing hands after the toilet, leaving prawns to sit out at room temperature for hours etc. It's disgusting that I should suffer because someone is so hopeless in...
