SAMCANCOOK is absolutely incredible! We were recommended this place by a friend and traveled all the way from KL to try it out. Even though all the tables were fully booked, the manager went above and beyond by finding a spot for us to quickly dine in after we explained our situation.
Let me tell you, the dishes were out of this world! There was one in particular that I can't quite remember the name of, but the ilan talipia asam pedas was absolutely divine! It was soooooo delicious!
The food was not only delicious, but also fresh and bursting with authentic flavors. And the best part? The prices were affordable! The portion sizes were just right too. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the Chinese tea. It was served in beautiful pots and cups, and it tasted amazing as well.
The service we received was top-notch! The staff were incredibly friendly and even took the time to help us take pictures. The ambience of the restaurant was also very comfortable, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.

We ordered their signature claypot tilapia and it definitely did not disappoint. The tilapia is fresh and cooked to perfection. The sauce that comes along with it blends perfectly with the fresh fish.
Apart from the main, we ordered the yam ring, and inner ring stuffed with many options; we opted for the Kungpo chicken. The kungpo chicken is slightly different from my expectations; too crispy and not as spicy.
For the tofu, nothing can go wrong with the claypot tofu. Lastly, we ordered the Patung Assam vege which consists of petai, long beans and lady’s finger. The vege dish is delicious; not too spicy or sour.

Service was homely and wonderful, and despite a full restaurant, the team took the time to review my order, helpfully suggesting changes to prevent me from over ordering. And I'm glad i listened to their advice.
