Had a banquet dinner with appetisers, soup, mains, fried rice and desserts. I enjoyed most of the dishes, especially the Snow Fungus Lotus Seeds Yam Sago sweet soup was my favourite dish from the whole menu. The tender yam (taro) immersed in creamy and rich coconut milk with bouncy sago that delicately melted in my mouth, bursting with delicious sweet aroma and satisfying mouthfeel. Such a happy ending. 😃 It changed my impression of sweet soup in Ipoh as I had really bad ones at Tong Sui Kai~ 😏 We added Fish Skin in Salted Egg Yolk on top of the set since last visit we had was delicious. This time a little disappointed since the fish skin was hard and not as crispy as we expected. 😕 The Quadruple Dishes Combination Platter at the beginning of the meal was supposed to be four plates of appetisers designed by the restaurant. Apart from the Stir Fried Egg with Bean Sprouts & Chinese Mushrooms dish, the other three plates were just made by fish paste in different forms and shapes, a bit cheating to be honest~ 😏

On the phone : I was calling to make a reservation for a table. The staff was in an inpatient tone, I was about to ask some questions after leaving my name and my numbers, then she hang up my phone… We went there around 1pm for lunch, the environment was not that great, lightning was dim and the place was abit run down. They never give us menu, we wanted to order fish but only few choices as well as the desserts. After she took our orders, a few moments later, another staff came back and told us that the fish we ordered was out of stock as well as the peanut soup dessert. So we make took the last choice of fish at the end. Those dishes were just okay, nothing really fancy with a funny plastic pattern kind of plate. The fish portion was so little and not fresh! Not worth the value, imagine just a handful of rotten fish and it cost RM100. To me, it’s just a look like fancy but food not up to standard kinda restaurant.

Food n service were a disappointment. The chicken was raw with fresh blood stains. Didn’t defrost properly. Waiter took out 5 dishes at a time, hurrying us to eat. Take-away 2 sets of pun choy n specifically asked the staff at the counter on how to keep them fresh for the following day’s lunch. Was told to keep in fridge but not freezer. Reheated before eating as instructed. However, after reheating the pun choi, one pot has a big portion that has turned sour n another one entire pot have gone bad with bad rotten smell. Tried to contact staff several times but nobody responded. Later we managed to get hold of a staff but was blamed for getting wrong information from their staff. Will never want to eat at this place again. Oh ya, we gave the RM 788 x2 sets pun choi to the stray dogs. In total, we spent RM 5780++ , definitely not worth the money. Bad attitude of staff n lack of sense of responsibility towards customers.

Bad service. When we entered, nobody to guide where to sit even with reservations. Then, Upon sitting down nobody bothered to pass us menus. Made us sit there waiting. I waved to get attention of the wait staff but to no avail. I waved and I was sure this lady saw me but she ignored me, just walked past me and left me hanging. Annoyed, I walked over to the counter and the girl looked at me cluelessly till I said, “menu?” To which she replied, “oh.”

Service is only ok if you get particular wait staff or maybe if you booked a room they will give you special attention. If not, just sit there and look like fools all night. They have a tonne of wait staff but we observed only two has the will to work. The rest look like everyone owes them something. Even if their food tasted good, I wouldn’t know because my mood was already ticked off by the shitty service and attitude of the floor staff. I’ve tasted better from other places in Ipoh. This place does NOT make the cut. Take your money...

The service here is extremely disappointing. I've noticed numerous customers leaving negative comments about it, yet it seems like the management hasn't made any real efforts to improve or address these issues. While I must admit that some aspects of the service are passable, overall, it still falls far short of expectations.

On the one hand, the food is fairly delicious and has some redeeming qualities. The flavors are well - balanced, and the ingredients seem fresh. However, there is a significant drawback - the dishes are overly greasy. It gets to a point where after a few bites, the richness becomes overwhelming, and it's hard to fully enjoy the meal. This is a shame because with a little adjustment in the cooking methods or recipe, the food could be truly outstanding. I hope that the establishment will take both the service and food - related feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to provide a better...
