The setup and decor of this restaurant was nice. It was a quiet, comfortable restaurant with a soft music playing in the back. The prices of the food were reasonable, however one peculiar thing are the famous teas here. You have to order by the pot but no refill services are provided. (Basically you are ordering 2 small tea cups lo.) I ordered the lamb - RM88, and their famous tea smoked chicken - RM25.
FIrst the chicken, if you have experience buying chicken from wet market and big malls, you know the most significant difference is the freshness. There is a certain smell from the chicken if its not fresh. Although the tea smoked chicken came with a lovely tea sauce, the funky smell especially around the bone area was quite unpleasant.
Secondly the lamb rack. I ordered it to be cooked medium. I received it with a smile as the decor of the plate was nice. However, the first thing i notice is the cuts of the lamb were odd. although the portion was reasonable, one chuck of it has one rack bone, 2 of them has 2 rack bone. If all the sizes are not the same, it means the oven cooking technique will not be the same on all pieces. The funny thing is, ALL pieces came out RAW. If they were medium well, or medium rare (one rank above or below medium), I can accept it, but raw? Come on dude. There were still white fat that were present and it means it wasn't rendered enough.
Told the waiter about it, and he was very apologetic. Took back the plate of lamb, and I was a bit surprised they didn't recook another plate but took the original ones, put it in the oven, dump a huge amount of sauce on it and serve it back. Anyone who knows how to cook a steak/lamb knows that's not the way dude. Although the returned plate was still not up the a basic standard, I ate the cooked ones and left the rest on the plate.
At the end of the night, my table was compensated with a free cheesecake. Smart move, and I have to admit the cake was...

STG Tea House Cafe delivers an exceptional dining experience that deserves every bit of its 5-star rating. From the moment we walked in, the charming ambience—with its warm dim lighting and heritage bungalow setting—set the tone for a memorable meal. The staff were incredibly welcoming, offering prompt service with genuine smiles. Despite being busy on a Sunday, we were seated without a reservation, and our orders arrived swiftly.
The food was nothing short of spectacular. We started with the Afternoon Tea for Two, a delightful spread of sweet and savory treats, though the passionfruit cheesecake leaned slightly too tart for my taste. The Tea Smoked Chicken was the star—succulent, smoky, and bursting with flavor—an absolute must-try! Equally impressive were the Wild Mushrooms Sandwich, brimming with earthy goodness, and the Sautéed Wild Mushrooms, cooked to aromatic perfection. The Walnut Brownie was a rich, fudgy indulgence, while the Mushroom Pizza delighted with its crispy crust and generous toppings. Even the simple Fries & Wedges were elevated by perfect seasoning and crispness.
Though prices are premium, the quality justifies every penny. The outdoor seating adds to the vibe, especially at night when the scenery shines. Whether for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, STG Tea House Cafe excels in every aspect—flawless food, attentive service, and an ambiance that enchants. A definite...
Read moreDear Restaurant Management Team, I'm writing to bring to your attention a deeply Disappointing experience we had at your restaurant on 20th September 2025. My daughter booked a table for 10pax to celebrate her 21st birthday. She was so excited to have a wonderful birthday at here and planned it a month before it. When she reached there around 6pm,there's combined table for her. Everything went smoothly and happily until the waiters suddenly asked for a table back where the presents were put on the table. they started to keep their dishes rudely.I mentioned it while there were other tables is available around! And after that the waiters looked like they wanted to rush them back( before 8:30pm). When it comes to the payment cashier, Touch n go is a very common form of contactless payment. The cashier said we don't use Tng payment, if you can't pay by credit/debit card, I have no idea how you are going to pay ?? ridiculous!! What service is your staff providing? All these incidents that i had mentioned please take a look from your cctv, there's proof! This rudeness was unacceptable and made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome! how would you feel if this happens on your 21st birthday celebration! will you be that calm like me as a parent! I hope you will address this with your staff to ensure no others have a similar experience. This experience is...
