This is one of those places that I'd always prefer ordering a delivery rather than dining in because the endless need to swat off flies is just a major put off. There's also this unkindly indescribable smell that never failed to attack my nostrils whenever I visit.
But thankfully, those unsightly experience does not fully represent what this place has to offer. Their signature 'Fry Roast Pork' is a dish I'd always order. Their Chickens, be it roasted or steamed are smooth and soft, going well with the soy gravy that definitely stimulate appetites. You'd do well to eat them with the ginger puree condiment they provide (if not, request for it). The beansprouts that should be one of their 'bread and butter' dish sometimes come out undercooked, which can sour the experience.
Their buttermilk fish is also okay although I haven't been able to experience them at their best temperature since I always eat out of delivery. But even so, that didn't stop me from ordering it every now and then. The fish fillet they use is just so fresh, with each bite offering a good mouthfeel. The sauce, however, can be a little inconsistent. Sometimes they'd come too diluted and sometimes too thick. Even the flavour in the sauce can sometimes differ.
Don't be afraid to order their noodle dishes like the Singapore Meehoon just because their signage says 'Chicken Rice Shop' because it was a pleasant surprise for me when I did the first time.
Price is on the high side which is what annoys me the most. You'd think a place that charges at this range would at least offer you a dine-in experience free of flies. This is basic food hygiene and cleanliness but nopeee. The parking in this area can also be a nightmare and be prepared to double-park or get blocked by a double-parker.
Summing it up: Good food although sometimes the quality can be inconsistent Price on the high side Dine-in experience hampered by flies and weird smell Parking...

Read moreThe food is quite good, but the people who work there are con men. The menu states chicken serving 10.80 for 1 person worth, 19.80 for 2 persons worth. The waiter explained it to me, then I pointed at 2 persons worth of chicken and said I wanted to order that. However waiter then keyed in 2 x 10.80.
On menu it states 1.5 for 1 pork ball. Waiter tried to insist that min order is 4 pieces. I refused and said I only want 3 pieces.
On menu it states 1.6 for small rice, 2 for big rice. I said give me 2 rice, he said ok then ran to key in my orders. I followed him and checked what he input, sure enough he input 2 big rice. I made him cancel 1, and changed my order to 1 big rice instead. 1 big rice is enough to share by 2 persons.
I would hesitate to come back here simply because they have no ethics. Cheap tactics to earn 1-2 ringgit...
