It is a non-descript seafood noodle house located along a row of shophouses facing Atria Shopping Gallery. Despite passing it n-times, I had never thought nor considered going in once. However, a lot of my friends mentioned about this awesome seafood noodle place in DJ everytime we talked about this topic (not at the same time but randomly). One morning after a heavy round of drinking the night before, I craved for something hot and soupy - what a perfect time to dine here. The interior felt unchanged since day 1 - the boss does the cooking aided by 2 helpers and another foreign worker handles the drink. ◾The great - their homemade fishballs are probably one of the best (if not the best) in the business. I swear that I can play pingpong with it - a sentiment echoed by the rest! Awesome texture. ◾the cooking station is placed right in front of the shop - just tell the boss what you want in your bowl together with the choice of seafood or stuffed ingredients (Yong Liew) and he'll cook for you. ◾For fresh seafood - there are 2 types of fish ie. grouper & siakap + oysters + prawns. ◾Fried snacks - stuffed beancurd skin; plain beancurd skin, fish cake and fried wantan are available for those who want crispy touch in their meal. Price-wise on the higher side of the spectrum but you'll get fresh and quality ingredients in return. Customisations are limitless and what's in the bowl depends on how much you pay.

The star here is, of course, the seafood noodle soup. The broth is light yet deeply flavorful not weighed down by heavy seasonings, but instead letting the natural sweetness of prawns, clams, and fish shine through. For those who prefer something richer, their dry noodles tossed in fragrant sauces pair wonderfully with the accompanying soup. Side dishes like Teochew-style fish cakes and braised items round out the meal, bringing comforting flavors reminiscent of home-cooked family dining. The restaurant itself is fuss-free and casual, more about good food than fancy interiors, but service is warm and portions are satisfying. Prices are reasonable given the freshness of the seafood, making it a value-for-money option compared to many higher-end seafood restaurants.

Grew up living in this neighborhood but never knew the existence of this place until my colleague told me about it. And this is probably why, the shop doesn’t even have a signage so it’s easy for one to walk past and not notice it. I was recommended to try the pomfret noodle, and literally you get one whole pomfret. It’s not bad. But it is pricey. One bowl is RM18. My mum enjoyed it cause she’s a soupy person. Also ordered the fish cake which is quite good. What I really enjoyed though was the homemade ice jelly drink. Both zesty and refreshing! Great thirst quencher on a hot day!

I’ve been a long-time patron of this hidden gem. Their seafood offerings have been fresh on every visit. I’ve tried pairing their dishes with grouper, pomfret, and oysters, and none have disappointed me so far.😋

I especially love their hor fun texture—it’s broader and chewier compared to the usual factory-made version.🤩🤩

My only complaint is that I wish they were more consistent with their soup temperature. Despite cooking live in front of me, I’ve occasionally been served barely warm soup. 😂

I hope more people discover this place and help keep it running! 🫶🏼

Let me know if you’d like any...
