Came here for breakfast and lunch numerous times previously. Food's been ok. But had terrible experience during our breakfast just now, particularly because of one of the waitresses.
First, she didnt allow us to change to a smaller table when we arrived. She said couple cannot sit there due to SOP. Minutes after, we saw another couple sitting there.
Second, not sure if it was us or she did hear our order wrongly. Another waiter delivered roti bakar to us and we said we didnt order that, so he broughy it back to kitchen. Moments later, the first waitress came to our table and ask in slighty harsh tone. "Boss, tadi you order ni kan?" I said no. She then repeated what she heard we ordered. I said, "ok, if you insist just put in there". She then put it on our table and went back to kitchen.
Not sure if the waitress was on her PMS or what. (She was wearing red tshirt by the way). But we thought it was a very poor display of customer service and really spoiled our mood. It would be nice if she had spoken to us nicely and we would gladly accept the roti bakar as an extra breakfast. I wanted to go to the cashier / owner to complain but my wife was against the idea. We still paid for the roti bakar although we didnt touch it at all.
I don't believe by writing this review anything will change. The cafe has always been crowded and I think it will continue to be that way. I just want to remind myself to never come back and not to support any business with poor...

Roti Bakar: bread quite thick, okay taste of kaya & butter inside. Although they didn’t really put in much, so can act as like roti kosong to dunk in the kopi ais or half boil egg
Roti Bakar (Bulat): outer was crispy and inside the kaya jam you can taste that its the organic kaya, not the usual green processed one.
Half boil egg (Omega): okay quite good, just be mindful of the soy sauce because its very flavorful. 1-2 dash is enough
Char Kuey Teow: abit on the oily side and taste more like malay kueyteow goreng (maybe it is). Lack of taste but you can supplement with their diced green chili and soy sauce.
Curry Laksa: broth is abitbon the watery side and also sweeter side. Ingredients for the gravy is there, just need to reduce more. But their curry laksa/curry mee dont have kerang/clams/siham ya. Only some fishball, fishcake and i think their dried tofu skin was kinda masuk angin/yap fong/less crispy.
Atmosphere: Inside sitting area is quite humid but bearable if you only sit for less than 20 mins
Service: quite...
Read moreA delightful neighbourhood Chinese Coffeeshop and being Halal attracted many, especially the local Malays to enjoy the Chinese styled cooking for their meals without burning their hip pockets.
Simple and clean, quick service, and the meals are very reasonably priced. Not fancy with their decor or 'ambiance', especially in these days of selfies and social media uploading, but you'd definitely enjoy your meals here.
Your typical Chinese menu and a bakery with fresh daily bake available plus a smattering of Malay ones. Ample parking around the area but be prepared for the crowd especially during breakfast.
All in all a good place to eat no fuss, no mess, just a good place to eat.
