Hotel O Gs Hotels Near Strand Mall — Hotel in Petaling Jaya

One of the worst and unpleasant stay at Super OYO GS Hotel, near The Strand Damansara. We checked in the room at 3.00pm and found the water hose was not shut and water was flooding the toilet floor. There is only one TV channel available. The worst is around 5.00pm, there was no water supply. We checked with the front office and were advised there were water disruption and mentioned they can't do anything. Asked when can the water supply resume, the lady at the front office, in a very bad manner, replied "didn't know". Hence we request for check out and refund so that we could go for a alternative hotel. She mentioned that she will make the necessary report and will help to have the refund.

Two days later I called the customer service to file my complain as well as the refund. The lady on the other line requested me to call back in 20minutes time.

After 20minutes, I called the customer service and she requested me to call back again, in 20minutes!

At the end, I requested an email address in order for me to file the complain as well as my refund. I was given the email address.

I wrote in and received reply that a maximal 1 day after the check out dates for get any compensation. As the lady at the front office mentioned that she will assists us to file the complain and refund. Hence my complain and refund was not entertained because the lady at the front office have lied to us. She did not file our check out reason (no water supply to the hotel) as well as our request of refund.

Do you expect your staying guest to continue staying at the foresaid hotel with no water supply, while waiting endlessly for...

Room was smelly and we thought it came from our feet so we kept washing our feet in hopes of getting rid of the smell. Turns out the smell came from the floor…suspect that the cleaning agent used was not good or the hotel simply did a very basic mop of the floor. We ended up hand-mopping the floor with the 1 and only towel provided (for a standard queen room, able to sleep up to 4 pax). Luckily, we brought our own towels otherwise we would have nothing to dry ourselves with.

Toilet door lock was also spoilt. Fortunately, the toilet door itself is quite hard to push open so you don’t have to worry about someone walking in on you.

Location wise, it is quite good. Many shops surrounding it and strand mall is right beside it too. There is also an elevator :D

Parking is also not “free” as claimed by a third party website. We need to pay public parking fees.

Overall a decent budget hotel if you’re here...

Good: Location, infrastructure, friendly staff, quite safe surroundings, decently clean room. Bad: Lack basics amenities like mineral water, kettle, tea & soap. Cheap hotel doesn't excuse providing that necessities, much cheaper, nearby hotel I've been to have that so no excuse. If possible, DO NOT opt for early check out process since claiming your own deposit via online transfer felt like begging, they'll do nothing unless you follow through everyday. Receptionist aren't available most time, leaving you with no choice but either to wait long time or opt for a hassle-filled early check out process. First & last time, would rather go to basic Airbnb nearby next time...
