Love the drinks but it is quite pricey for the volume, they only fill up the cup to 2/3 then the rest is just ice. If you order it hot then that's the real volume, quite small for the price.
A lot of the drinks and food items are always unavailable, not sure why they don't put cakes on the counter to attract orders.
Offering RM5 matcha on Fridays is a nice bonus but quite deceptive as the cups used are much smaller than their usual cups, and if you change milk it becomes even pricier because they don't adjust the price for the less volume (meaning smaller cup but still RM3 for oat milk if I'm not mistaken).
Cashier's attitude could be better. There's one Chinese girl who's friendly but the rest always serve you like they were forced to work there. Once I ordered with oat milk, they gave me dairy; I could taste the difference but they insisted they gave me dairy. In the end they changed my drink for me and I could tell it's Oatside, but I'm annoyed that even with little customers they can still get the order wrong. Also, would be nice if they could check with customers whether they are employees there so we are eligible for the discount rather than every time we have to ask before paying, "got 10%...
Read moreBest Coffee Shop in KL. Fortunate to find this gem in Damansara Perdana which serves finely roasted and masterly brewed top quality coffee with an awesome house blend and my personal favorite single origin coffee from Peru with that signature apple cider tail and a rich aroma. Prepared and served by experienced baristas who are knowledgeable, super engaging and friendly, it is the first step in an unforgettable experience and an all encompassing convivial occasion with fellow coffee lovers or a creative opportunity stimulated by the vibrant atmosphere , energetic clientele and uniquely stimulating atmosphere. Not a place for a quick coffee but rather a place for a fine hours long experience that leaves one energized and refreshed. Additionally finely curated sodas with pear and white passion lemon my favorites, are served to those with lower caffeine tolerance and ones who appreciate the complimentary freshness after a super satisfying coffee. Certainly one of my top three coffee shops in South East Asia together with Norm’s Microroastery in Penang and Kurasu in Singapore. Well done to the originators of a unique concept of all day coffee...
Read moreHetam is located in a corner house next to the Petronas station on the slope of Jalan Bangsar. Parking might be a challenge as there’s limited street parking. The place is very minimal and instagrammable. Unfortunately they only have outdoor seating which isn’t favourable on a hot, sunny afternoon. I love their coffee. Had the iced latte (RM10) and my friend had a flat white (RM8). The iced latte is cheaper compared to most cafes, which is usually RM10 and above. For those of you who brew your own coffee, they roast their own beans which they sell 200g for RM30. They don’t serve any heavy food, just desserts. Had their Merlin’s Medallion (RM6) which is a houjicha madeleine with akane glaze. Too dense for my liking but the sweetness is still acceptable. I also tried their Jackie Cha (RM8), jackfruit butter cake with houjicha ganache. This was buttery and rich. I enjoyed this more than...
