I am writing this as a deeply concerned parent to urgently warn others about the "Spy Game" escape room experience at The Curve. My 10 year old and her friends were severely traumatized during this game, and I want to prevent this from happening to anyone else. Even myself who chaperone them is greatly disturbed.
We had previously played missions at this venue that were fun, puzzle-based spy adventures ā harmless and age-appropriate. The premise involved infiltrating a cult as spies to destroy them (I thought it was something noble to do). Based on past positive experiences, we booked mission 5 (we had played missions 1-3 previously).
The experience took a horrifying and unacceptable turn: Role-Playing Cult Worship: We were required to dress in cult robes and participate in impersonating cult followers, including "worshipping" their god at the altar by mimicking what the cult follower does in order to proceed to the next room. This alone felt deeply unsettling and inappropriate for anyone let alone children as even I was deceived into following the āritualā in the spirit of gamesmanship. Extreme Gore & Violence: The situation escalated dramatically when we entered the next room I dubbed the "torture chamber." The room was filled with: Fake blood everywhere. Realistic human-like dolls depicting torture victims, hung on the walls. Disfigured faces and skulls. Weapons displayed prominently. The overall scene was intensely graphic, violent, and horrifyingly realistic.
This content was NOT hinted at in the description, nor were we given any adequate warnings about the extreme graphic nature or horror themes before entering. There was nothing in the "spy" theme that prepared us for this level of disturbing imagery.
I immediately stopped the game and we left. The impact on the group especially my daughter is not to be taken lightly. She is visibly shaken and traumatized by what she saw. This was not "scary fun" ā it was deeply disturbing and developmentally inappropriate content that contain intense horror, graphic depictions of torture, and cult role-playing that is absolutely NOT appropriate for anyone especially the young. The lack of clear, upfront warnings about the graphic horror content is irresponsible. I hope the operators will review this mission and abolish it accordingly as it is not only inappropriate due to the extreme gore but being in a multi-religion country, the cult worshipping theme is extremely offensive to...

My family and I recently completed two missionsāa daring rescue and a heart-pounding escapeāand I can confidently say this is one of the most unique and enjoyable experiences weāve had.
This is more than just an Escape Room. Before it starts, we thought the missions might be straightforward, but we were quickly proven wrong! Each scenario is thoughtfully designed, blending clever clues with physical challenges and a strong narrative. The real magic, though, is in how the game forces you to communicate and collaborate under pressure. Sharing our understanding of the clues, brainstorming solutions, and piecing together the story made every moment engaging and rewarding.
The highlight of our experience was definitely the dynamic between our team and the game masters. Whenever a patrol guard (played by a game master) entered the room, chaos and excitement erupted as we scrambled to find hiding spots. These tense moments added a layer of realism and unpredictability that kept us on our toes and made every victory feel well-earned.
While the missions were challenging, they never felt impossible. The difficulty level strikes a perfect balanceādemanding enough to be satisfying, but always fun. Whether youāre a puzzle enthusiast or just looking for a memorable group outing, Breakout has something for everyone.
Breakout Spy Game at The Curve is more than just a game; itās an immersive adventure that brings people together and creates unforgettable memories. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a fresh, exciting challenge. Just be prepared to think fast, move quietly, and, most importantly,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the chance to visit Spygames, an escape room designed to test your spy skills. From start to finish, this experience was a thrilling journey full of puzzles, codes, and surprises.
As soon as we entered the breakout room, we were immersed in a world of espionage. The setting was meticulously designed, with high-tech gadgets and spy-themed decorations that made us feel like real secret agents on a top-secret mission. The attention to detail was incredible, from hidden compartments to cryptic messages.
The puzzles were challenging but not impossible, offering a perfect balance for both beginners and experienced escape room enthusiasts. Our group worked together to crack codes, find hidden objects, and decipher clues. Each puzzle we solved brought us closer to the ultimate objective, with a few surprises along the way.
The highlight was the final challenge, where we had to work against the clock to complete our mission. The adrenaline rush was real, and the sense of accomplishment when we finally cracked the final puzzle was immensely satisfying.
The staff at Spygames were friendly and helpful, providing just the right amount of guidance without giving too much away. They created a welcoming atmosphere that added to the overall experience.
If you're a fan of escape rooms or just looking for a fun and challenging activity with friends or family, I highly recommend Spygames. It's a fantastic blend of creativity, teamwork, and adventure. Get ready to unleash your inner spy and put your problem-solving skills to the...
