16/1/2023 Atmosphere: Went there with family, 5 adults and 2 kids for dinner. Arrived at 530pm, already have 3 tables were seated already, we sat the 4th table. The room was air-contioned, wall was with full of introductory info, newspaper and enlarged photo of signature dishes, quite useful and helpful, for first time customer finds out more about the restaurant and dishes. Floor was clean, not oily and no trace of issues or rabbis everywhere, may be due to the restaurant just resumed their evening operation. May be it is Sunday evening, most shops were closed. However, I find parking is limited and parking space is narrow and small. Parking surrounding feel insecure and kind of weird, will suggest all valuable items you will need to hide unseen or bring it down with you to restaurant not leaving in the car. Service: Relatively acceptable. The lady that taken our order was friendly and smiling. Other helper who were international workers, responsive. However, insufficient help while or during full house. For example, about 545pm, basically air-contioned rooms were all full, those customers that came after 6pm, either wait for empty table outside or elsewhere. When the crowd is built up, it will be too noisy as the air-conditioned room is way too tiny and small. Food: A bit too oily for my preference, especially the alkaline kuih braised pork belly, taste was not bad though. Other than that, I find the deep fried eggplant, fried potato flour noodle, fried flat noodle and hok kian noodle were good. Fried squiq also not bad. The fish meow hot and sour soup was my preference though other siblings objected this dish. We ordered all dishes to be medium size but a bit small for my expectation of medium size. For fried flat noodle and fried potato flour noodle, it wasn't as oily as compare to some famous ones in Klang which I don't really like, noodle also not too dark or too much dark soy sauce. It looks like fried kueo teow. The bitter gourd was good, at least the thick noodle didnt taste chemical and bitter, quite hokkian style, significant dark soy sauce was put I think. Overall experience: Overall dining experience was acceptable, just that too crowded that caused the service can't cover and promptly as expected. May be more helper will ease this matter. I feel kind of weird to be charged service tax when I need to refill hot water, replenish ice cube etc. I know it was crowded, and though crowded no inpatient or shouting at customer which I think is great. We had 7 dishes, no fish, all medium size, total bill was RM240+ including tax. I think the bill is justifiable and reasonable. I will recommend to other friends and l will come back again, not...

For authentic Hokkien dishes, look no further than this relatively hidden restaurant tucked on the first floor of Plaza Seri Setia in Sungai Way area. I'd been going there a few times and have never been disappointed before. They were featured in Axian TV show before and are still going strong today with the support of many loyal customers.

My last time going there was with my university classmates and had a great time there.

◾fried tapioca flour noodles - known as "pak kor" in Cantonese, this hard-to-find dish has a lot of crispy lards, bean sprouts, egg, plus some meats... All in a vital dose of wok hei to give that satisfying meal. ◾fried glass noodle (tang hun) - taste-wise similar to the tapioca noodle but you'd get the same satisfaction with the noodle made using mung bean. ◾Hokkien braised pork (taw yew bak) with alkaline kuih - braised pork is easy to find but "Kan sui gou" (alkaline kuih)? My first time seeing this type of kuih either.. apparently they dip the kuih into the sauce and eat just like that. Kuih was tasteless without sauce but good thing is the sauce was very good. ◾deep fried spring roll - perfect snack while waiting for the dishes to arrive. ◾Deep fried fish with braised peanuts - this fish was cooked twice.. first deep fried before braised in the clear peanut broth that was clear and slightly spicy with fragrant from the peanuts. ◾deep fried eggplant - easily passed of as salt & pepper squid if not for the colour and shape. The eggplants were covered with lots of minced garlic and strewn with spring onions. Very tempura-like... Addictive stuff which I'll definitely order again. A real treat

Bonus - steamed famous Muar otak-otak which our friend brought all the way from Bandar Maharani.

The food quality was spectacular yet homey and unpretentious with a touch of traditional taste to it. The only downside is the parking (road side is almost impossible) is not easily available and the only solution is to park inside the building itself which I'd say...

Been bought by my relatives to this place to eat, since then became my favourite Hokkien restaurant for more than 15yrs. Never disappointed my family each time come to eat here. Always packed with regular customers on the weekend and public holiday, so well-prepared to come early. I'm sure no new customer know or how to come to this hidden gem? Before that, I make a few times mistakes to find this place too.

It's located in Plaza Seri Setia 1st for, Sg. Way. For safe and easy to access, better park in Plaza Seri Setia located behind the from shoplots of Jln SS 9a/1 which is one way street. You can access to here by short-cut turn to left before 7-11 store.

Very reasonable price, they 're family owned business. I like most of their delicious dishes here, curry chicken with breads, stew pork with alkaline, tapioca noodle stir, marmite pork ribs, bitter gourd stream fish etc.... be sure to call-up reservation first before come here because always crowded and only one uncle took orders. But amazing, their service is very fast if...

One of the hidden gem in seri setia. Variety of choice of Hokkien food to be ordered. I tried their Fu Zhou Fishball soup, gu Lou yuk. The taste is good. They do serve vegetarian food as well.

Discovered this place with Hokkien dish recently and fell in love with the food after first try. The food was delicious and homey, especially the tau yu bak! Finally, a tau yu bak that is tasty! The portion is huge for a small/medium size and it is also very reasonably priced. Please try the deep fried brinjal, tau yu bak, ham yu fa lam and claypot wine chicken. These dishes are the few that really caught our attention. As for noodles, we tried 2 different types but the best one was the fried dong fun. Full of wok hei and and flavours all in one plate of noodles! But the taste is not that consistent cause we went for the second time 2 days later and the noodles weren't as tasty as it was, but it was still better than other places. Overall a place with good food and affordable price. Definitely will bring my family for a try!
