Usually the service here is good when the boss is around. But this time around I'm extremely disappointed after a long time didn't drop by for a meal.
I realized the elder gentleman not around. (should be the shop owner) Which makes the employee VERY LAZY!!
Wanted to order my take away. When to the counter, he told me to wait, I waited. At the main while seeing him serving other customers. When on to called another employee, he told me to wait as well. Which on average I had waited roughly 5 mins on each employee and they did not get back to me. This goes on and on, so I asked another 3 employee they done the same.
One of them don't even look me in my eyes after being called. Even when to the extent of using stop hand gesture while I'm politely trying to placing my orders, and just walked away without allowing me to complete my sentence.
Extremely disappointed, at the main while wondering what is so hard to take down my orders? I understood the fact that they have others orders to fulfill, but that doesn't mean to just left customer there and walked off without informing another waitress to takes my order.
After all this non-sense, I'm done waiting and being treated like a dog, just walked off from this shop will never...
Read moreMy personal experience eating at the Taman Mayang outlet surpasses that at the bigger Sect.17 one. The waiters at the former are more attentive and eager to serve. However the banana leaf fare taste the same in terms of great flavourful curries at both locations. Fast forward to present (Oct.2023): Some days after a very filling, meal, do you get the impression that what you just paid for far exceeded the value of your gastronomic satisfaction? After recovering from my initial shock I found that the main culprit which inflated the bill was the "kambing" dish at RM15! When I complained to the cashier about the price he just shrugged his shoulders and smiled at me as if to say "just live with it". You can be sure that I will live with this memory for...
Read moreI mostly come here for breakfast as it's only walking distance from the workplace. If you like thosai, they have two different chutneys (mild and spicy). While most places don't serve roti during lunch, you can still order that here (and also other branches) during lunch if you so wish, but the condiments like chutney won't be available by then.
Service is kind of a mixed bag: some times they take awhile to notice you sitting there, waiting to order; other times they're on your back before you could decide what to order. Although in this pandemic, they would need to take notice of your arrival, so yeah.
Banana leaf rice is ok (though not cheap); they will try to upsell you on the proteins and drinks. They also have parboiled rice (which they say is a healthier option to plain...
