Bad experience with the service here despite food was not bad. Pork ball was in fact quite nice.
Food: The staff here super blur.. Mixed up orders 2 times. Write order as the Z5 Pickled Pork l Soup version and come out as normal pork broth soup Z1. Don't want make fuss after the drinks mishap so just eat..
Drinks: The worker, 1 guy inside in charge of helping to serve the drinks keep running in and out of kitchen asking a few tables if they ordered my drink. All shake head no.. Then he go back in kitchen again whey my lemon tea 😅. Called out to him but he probably did not hear. Called another staff to check.. My husband ordered herbal tea, come out as Chinese tea.. He said fine just asked to check on my lemon tea which wasn't served yet and to make sure he won't be billed for herbal tea instead.. Lady blur.. Took out order sheet said u ordered Chinese tea.. That we say its OK.. We don't mind.
That was not the worse. When we paid, informed we want check bill first.. Same Girl still blur when at counter when asked to check bill b4 pay. Keep telling her we ordered the pickled vege n tomato soup but was given the normal one..as shown in my pic as proof. Then the girl so stubborn n blur.. Keep saying like as though we had hide the pickled vege and tomato d or eat d then only take pic.. Stubborn and don't want to change the order price.. Until hubby raised his voice to argue with this girl, then another person came to our rescue and changed accordingly.
So stressed eating here. I don't think I'll come...
Read moreMy first time here today. Was I disappointed? A tad bit.
There was no breakfast crowd at 9 am. Hence, the service was fast. I ordered pork kidney yee mee soup with wine. The wine was served separatedly.
The bowl came with 1 liver (yes only 1), 3 pieces of kidney, minced meat and pork slivers. The meat and 'spare parts' were cooked with the right doneness. The lone liver (being my favourite spare part) was soft to bite. So were the kidney pieces. The bowl of noodles came with a soft boiled egg and a sprinkle of pork lard.
The pork lard, while still crispy, was devoid of salt. It would b nice if a little salt was added into the preparation of the pork lard.
The broth was really nothing to shout about. I have tasted better broth at other places. Bland with a hint of spiciness from the ginger slices. Look at the ginger slices I found in my bowl (refer to photo) However, the broth had no distinct porky taste. For that, I give them credit.
I ordered teh c kosong. One of the best teh c I have tried. The tea is smooth, milky with a hint of saltiness. Maybe I should try using marigold evaporated milk in my coffee or tea next time. The tea was not kaw...just the...
Read moreHonestly, this is just so so for me.
Nothing special. Wont be coming back here again.
I ordered their pork noodle special and the broth was lacking. Im comparing it to Hog Kitchen which is my no.1 favorite pork noodle shop. I guess hog kitchen one still win.
The menu here is a lot, which is quite confusing for me to choose.
Also i dont need that additional liquor to be put inside my pork noodle. It doesn't enhance the taste since the broth is already underwhelming.
Also the cham that i ordered taste soury. Weird for a coffee, but still drinkable.
I hope the owner can take this review seriously because I care about your restaurant growing and getting repeat customers.
Just give yourself a chance and try Hog Kitchen Pork Noodle at ss2 and see the comparison. Even the crowd tells a...
