Recommended kopitiam for LUNCH! Great place for a quick lunch. Great food and a wonderful aircond section to chill in. The Five Star ⭐ Hainanese Chicken Rice was excellent. Their white chicken, roasted chicken šŸ— and even their pork belly in soy sauce was very appetizing. I found this visit to be slightly saltier than usual but the chicken was tender and the portions generous. The šŸ– pork belly was good too, tender and succulent, well marinated and the sauce was addictive with the chili sauce. Surprisingly, there were 2 chicken rice stalls there, do not make the mistake of going to the wrong one. Tried the other Lee Kee šŸ” chicken rice stall, give it a miss. The chicken lacks taste, only MSG, the skin is not crispy and the rice is hard and not fragrant at all. The other stall you should not miss is the fried carrot šŸ„• cake and their fried 🦪 oyster omelette was wonderful. The portions are generous and the oysters are huge, like it's from Fukushima, Japan šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ. šŸ™ƒ The curry mee and the char kway teow was ok. Very generous portions of noodles and condiments like pig skin and lip cheong. The curry broth was thick creamy but needs more taste / spice, but some may like the reminiscent of Penang styled curry mee. The CKT needs more garlic and chili. I prefer my foods with stronger flavours. We had coffee and barley. It was excellent Hainanese coffee. Thick, creamy and satisfying. Recommended! Plus the aircond section is a godsend these days where it's unbearably hot and humid. Have yet to try the other items too, looks equally inviting. The stalls' offerings change during the dinner service.

Yesterday I went to this place cos my niece didn’t want rice for her dinner. She read about the reviews of this place where a stall sells very big oyster omelette . So I drove there n found a parking lot just in front of the stall called Lim Fried Oyster. Ordered a large plate of fried oyster with added chilly n another large pax of fried carrot cake for myself- with extra chilly too. The young lady boss herself fried the food n the Indonesian assistant packed the food for me. Anyway I brought 2 big stainless steel container ( part of my 3 piece tiffin carrier ) cos it’s more hygienic as I don’t like them to use plastic to put my food. All in, it only cost me RM 36 only for 2 people’s dinner. While waiting for my food , I walked around the food court . There were almost 15 hawker stalls here selling all types of local n western food. There were stalls selling satay, fried noodles, noodle soup, rice with different types of soup, wanton Mee, clay pot Yee Mee ,barbecued beef, chicken, lamb n pork n seafood as well n desserts such as a variety of tong sui n even 2 stalls selling Japanese food. There was a big air conditioned room on the far right where customers after ordering their food from the hawkers ā€˜ stalls can sit there n eat their meals in cool comfort. The hawkers will deliver the food to them. This is really an amazing food court. A good place for your meal with your family n friends.

This kopitiam (now upgraded to food court) has been around for many years. They had its share of challenges over the years, from the closing of a nearby college that once brought steady foot traffic to the tough times during the pandemic. Many stalls came and went, leaving the place feeling a little uncertain for a while. But I'm glad to say they've turned things around recently! The food court has undergone a significant renovation and expansion, and now boasts a fresh new look. With over a dozen stalls offering a wide variety of cuisines, there’s something here for everyone—whether you’re in the mood for local comfort food, western and asian fusion flavors, or just want to have a little tea time break or late night yum cha session with friends. The quality of food has improved across the board, and it’s clear the management has put effort into curating a diverse mix of vendors. That said, parking remains a challenge. The limited street parking space fills up quickly during peak hours, and finding a spot can be a bit of a headache. All in all, it’s great to see this kopitiam / food court thriving again. Definitely worth a visit for the variety and quality of food on offer!
